Just under half of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top six have almost stayed the same as last week’s table once again. Still out in front again this week we have KEITH RATTLE, now with a total of 90 goals and now needs just 10 goals to win the cash. Keith’s teams are Chelsea, Rangers and Wrexham. In second place, we still have BARBARA BARNES (1) now on a total of 82 goals. In third place we still have SCOTT THOMSON (1) now on a total of 77 goals. WEEKEND RESULTS
We had 5 of our teams without a game this weekend, plus we had another 17 of our teams that failed to score any goals. It’s was yet another rubbish weekend for goals. Seven of us failed to pick up any goals from our three teams this weekend. The average score was five goals from last weekend, but this weekend it went right back down to just 2 goals. Well done if your teams picked up more than that. The highest score over the weekend was 5 goals once again and we had just one of our teams that reached that score. They were from NOTTS COUNTY. CARABAO/LEAGUE CUP FINAL
We had both teams in the final and they were ARSENAL and MANCHESTER CITY. The first piece of silverware of the season goes to Manchester City as they win 2-0 after 90 minutes. City are on a total of 89 goals and have extended their goal run to 12 league/cup games, while Arsenal after a goal run of 12 league/cup games, picked up their 4th blank of the season. City have now won the League Cup 8 times to Arsenal’s 2 last being in 1983 against Sheffield Wednesday.
PREMIER LEAGUE
Top of the table Arsenal and second place Manchester City both had no league game due to the cup final. Manchester United are still in third place with ASTON VILLA in fourth place. They won 2-0 at home against WEST HAM UNITED. Villa are on a total of 46 goals while West Ham picked up their 10th blank of the season. In fifth place we have LIVERPOOL, who lost 2-1 away to BRIGHTON. Liverpool have not won in their last three league games, are on a total of 62 goals and have now scored in all of their last 13 league/cup games. Brighton are on a total of 55 goals. CHELSEA lost 3-0 away to Everton and picked up their 5th blank of the season and now two in a row. NEWCASTLE UNITED lost 2-1 at home to SUNDERLAND and are on a total of 60 goals and have now scored in all of their last 11 league/cup games. CHAMPIONSHIP
MIDDLESBROUGH are still in second place after they drew 0-0 away to BLACKBURN ROVERS and picked up their 11th blank of the season. Rovers picked up their 14th blank of the season.
In the Play-offs, we still have two of the four teams this weekend as IPSWICH TOWN remained in third place, after they drew 1-1 at home to Millwall. Ipswich are on a total of 70 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. SOUTHAMPTON have moved up to sixth place after they won 2-0 at home to Oxford Utd. Southampton are on a total of 74 goals and have now scored in all of their last 16 league/cup games.

CARDIFF CITY are still in second place after they drew 0-0 at home to BLACKPOOL and picked up their 7th blank of the season and now two in a row. Blackpool picked up their 13th blank of the season.
In the Play-offs, we have just two of the four teams with BOLTON WANDERERS still in third place after they lost 1-0 away to Port Vale. Bolton have picked up their 10th blank of the season and now two in a row. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN move up to fifth place after they lost 3-1 away to PLYMOUTH. In League One, STENHOUSEMUIR are still in 2nd place after they won 2-0 at home to bottom of the table Kelty Hearts.
