WEEKEND RESULTS

We had a full league fixture again this weekend and we had 4 of our teams without a game over the weekend. We had another 9 of our teams that failed to score any goals. This means that our weekend average score has remained as last weekend's total with 7 goals.

The highest score over the weekend was 6 goals and they came from the Scottish Premiership where CELTIC won 6-0 away to St Johnstone. Celtic, with their biggest result so far, are now on a total of 28 goals and have kept their 100% scoring record after 8 league/cup games.

Celtic are just one of four teams that have appeared in all 42 season’s of Golden Goals. In our first season of 1983/84 they became our second voted Scottish team and ended the season on a total of 116 goals. Their highest score came in 2022/23 with a record breaking 143 goals. Last season they finished with a total of 110 goals. They have reached 100 or more goals in 22 of their season’s. Over the years they have netted a total of 4089 goals which gives them an average score of 97.9 goals per season to date. This season they have a total of 40 votes and look set to reach another 100 goals.

Lets get on with the results to see how your teams have performed over the weekend.
