Another Win for Arsenal
In the Premier League top of the table, ARSENAL won 2-0 at home against Brentford and are on a total of 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last 13 league/cup games. ASTON VILLA have moved into third place after they won 4-3 away to BRIGHTON. Villa have taken their goals tally to 21 while Brighton are now on a total of 36 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE won 1-0 away to Burnley and are on a total of 22 goals. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 1-0 away to bottom of the table WOLVES and picked up goal number 16. Wolves picked up their 9th blank of the season and now they have failed to score in all of their last five games. CHELSEA lost their 4th league game 3-1 away to Leeds Utd and are on a total of 31 goals and have extended their goal run to 15 league/cup games. LIVERPOOL drew their first league game 1-1 at home to SUNDERLAND and picked up goal number 23. Sunderland are on a total of 19 goals.
In the Premiership, after they had failed to score in their last 2 league games, HEARTS drew 1-1 at home to Kilmarnock. Hearts are on a total of 47 goals. City in 9 Goal Thriller
In the Premier League Second place MANCHESTER CITY won 5-4 away to Fulham, which now takes their goals tally up to 37 goals. City have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. AFC BOURNEMOUTH picked up their 4th blank scoresheet after they lost 1-0 at home to Everton. NEWCASTLE drew 2-2 at home against TOTTENHAM and are on a total of 25 goals and have now extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games. Tottenham are on a total of 26 goals.
In the Championship BLACKBURN ROVERS drew 1-1 at home against IPSWICH TOWN and picked up goal number 19. Ipswich are on 31 goals.

In the Championship, BIRMINGHAM CITY won 2-1 at home against WATFORD and are on a total of 29 goals and a goal run of 6 games now. Watford hit goal number 25 and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games.

Week Seventeen
In Week Seventeen of the competition, we had a total of 5 winners all winning on a total of 9 goals each. Under our competition rules, we can only have 4 winners so we will be having our fourth Rollover of the season worth £10 next weekend. Our unlucky players were LYANNA GRIMWOOD, SANSA GRIMWOOD, LUCIFER (John Wood), SARAH MARSHALL and IAN SMITH.
100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Nearly half of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top five have changed slightly this week. In the lead this week we still have EMMAF with that total of 39 goals. Her teams are Ayr United, Brighton and Crewe. In second place we now have SCOTT THOMSON (1) now with a total of 38 goals moving up from three. In third place down from two we have DAVID BARRETT still with a total of 36 goals. In fourth place we now have our joint 2023/24 Champion, JOHN FILTNESS moving up from five now with a total of 35 goals. In fifth place, we now have HAYLEY ADKINS down from four and BARBARA BARNES (1) up from six. Both are on a total of 34 goals. In sixth place we still have COURTNEYP now with 33 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had 4 of our teams without a game over the weekend, and another 9 of them failed to score any goals. Once again there were not many big results this weekend from our big voted teams. The average score has remained the same as last weekend with 5 goals. So if you have managed to pick up more goals than that this weekend, you have done well. The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals and they came from three of our teams. They are LEYTON ORIENT, NEWCASTLE and STENHOUSEMUIR.

After they had failed to score in their last two games, STOCKPORT COUNTY drew 1-1 at home to Barnsley and are on a total of 29 goals. It’s 30 goals for LEYTON ORIENT after they won 4-0 away to Burton and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. PETERBOROUGH UNITED lost 2-1 away to Doncaster and hit goal number 21. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN drew 3-3 at home to AFC Wimbledon and are now on a total of 32 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. LUTON TOWN drew 1-1 at home to BOLTON and are on a total of 25 goals while Bolton are on 29 goals. PLYMOUTH lost 3-0 at home to Northampton and picked up their 8th blank of the season. WYCOMBE drew 1-1 away to Rotherham and are on a total of 33 goals.
LEAGUE TWO
WALSALL are still on top of the table after they won 3-1 at home to BROMLEY and are now on a total of 31 goals. Bromley are on a total of 31 goals and have extended their goal run to 9 league/cup games. SWINDON TOWN are still in second place after they won 2-1 away to CHESTERFIELD and are on a total of 34 goals. Chesterfield picked up gaol number 33 and have now scored in all of their last 12 league/cup games. MK DONS are in third place as they win 2-1 at home to Fleetwood. The Dons are on a total of 38 goals and have now scored in all of their last 13 league/cup games. BARNET drew 1-1 at home to Harrogate and are on a total of 25 goals. NOTTS COUNTY won 1-0 away to Bristol Rovers and are on a total of 32 goals and have extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games. CREWE lost 2-1 away to Cambridge Utd and are on a total of 29 goals. GILLINGHAM drew 3-3 away to Shrewsbury and are now on a total of 29 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league games.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
SCOTTISH CUP 3rd Round we had just six of our teams in cup action and 4 of them are through to the next round. They were AYR UNITED who won 3-0 at home against non-league Turriff Utd. Ayr are now on a total of 37 goals. Also through to the next round are ROSS COUNTY won 2-0 away to non-league Banks O’ Dee and are on a total of 30 goals. COVE RANGERS won 2-1 away to St Johnston and are on a total of 18 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR won 4-1 at home to non-league Clachnacuddin and have now taken their goals tally to 27. DUMBARTON go out after they lost 4-0 at home to non-league Auchinlect Talbot and picked up their 4th blank score sheet. EAST FIFE picked up their 4th blank of the season as they lost 2-0 at home to Arbroath.

RANGERS drew their 7th league game 0-0 at home to Falkirk. Rangers after a goal run of 9 league/cup games, picked up their 3rd blank of the season. Rangers are currently in 4th place in the table.

Our worst performing team is now COVE RANGERS this weekend, as they have picked up 10 blank score sheets in their 20 league/cup games.
Our highest scoring team in our 43rd Season is ROSS COUNTY. They won 8-0 at home against Edinburgh City in the first round group stages of the Scottish League Cup in Week One.
We have another new leader this weekend and that is VINCENT CRUICKSHANK who now becomes the fourth player to stay there. Vincent picked up a total of 9 goals from the week. His teams are Celtic, MK Dons and Southampton. Graham Phillips moves down to second place this weekend as he picks up a total of 5 goals from his teams, all coming from the weekend. They are Arsenal, Celtic and MK Dons.
At the other end at 111 we still have ANNE HAMMOND making her third weekend there. Anne picked up just one goal at the weekend. Anne’s teams are Crystal Palace, Rangers and Wolves.
