In Week Thirty-Four of the competition, we had our 5th Rollover of the season worth £10. The prize money went to our 34th winner of the season MIKE HARRINGTON our 1997/98 joint Champion on 10 goals. Mike started with us back in the 1995/96 season and it did not take him long to become joint Champion in the 1997/98 season with David Salmon, both finished on a total of 276 goals. He picked up 3 weekend wins. Mike is currently in 39th place in our “Champions League”. Last season Mike finished in 84th place with a total of 277 goals. This season Mike has been as high as 45th place in Week One. He has picked up 3 blank weekend score sheets and Leeds United are his best team to date. Mike’s winning teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
With just a couple of games being played during midweek due to the Internationals, only 5 of us managed to pick up some midweek goals. So the race for the 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot has remained the same as last week’s really.
RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion remains at the top, with a total of 87 goals. Ricky has Bolton, Celtic and Leeds United. In second place we have JAMES BLYTH on a total of 86 goals. In third place we have GRANT PHILLIPS with a total of 81 goals. In fourth place we have BARBARA BARNES (2), CLARA STEPHENS and STEVE STUBBS (2). All are on a total of 80 goals. In fifth place we have BARRY BURROUGHS, MARTIN CORBETT and ALFIE DIMMOCK all with a total of 79 goals. In sixth place on 78 goals we now have JAMES SOMERVILLE.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had 12 of our teams without a game over the weekend and out of them, we had 7 teams that failed to score any goals. We had a better weekend from our teams, which means that our average score for this weekend was 4 goals. The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals, and we had 4 of our teams that picked them up. They came from BIRMINGHAM CITY, CHARLTON, EAST FIFE and RANGERS.
FA CUP Quarter-Finals
We had five of the 8 teams in the quarter-finals and only 3 of them have made it through to the semi-finals. They are CRYSTAL PALACE who won 3-0 away to Fulham. Palace have taken their goals tally to 55 and have now scored in all of their last 15 league/cup games. ASTON VILLA won 3-0 away to PRESTON NE and are now on a total of 53 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. Preston picked up their 13th blank of the season. MANCHESTER CITY won 2-1 away to AFC BOURNEMOUTH and are on a total of 73 goals. Bournemouth are on 54 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games.
CHAMPIONSHIP
After their win on Friday night, Sheffield United are now 2 points clear at the top as LEEDS UNITED drew 2-2 at home to SWANSEA CITY now in 2nd place. Leeds are on a total of 79 goals while Swansea, after they had failed to score in their last 2 games, are now on a total of 43 goals.
In the Play-offs we still have just one of the 4 teams. They are BURNLEY in 3rd place as they win 1-0 at home to Bristol City and are on a total of 59 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league games.
Meanwhile LUTON TOWN won 1-0 away to Hull City and picked up goal number 36. MIDDLESBROUGH won 2-1 at home against OXFORD UNITED and are on a total of 62 goals. Oxford are on 43 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 5 league games. NORWICH CITY won 1-0 at home to WBA and are on a total of 65 goals. Norwich have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. PORTSMOUTH won 1-0 at home against Blackburn Rovers and are on a total of 47 goals. MILLWALL lost 1-0 away to Sunderland and picked up their 14th blank of the season.
LEAGUE ONE
BIRMINGHAM CITY have remained top of the table this week after they won 4-1 at home against Shrewsbury Town. City have taken their goals tally to 71 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. WREXHAM are still in 2nd place after they won 2-0 away to Exeter City and are on a total of 56 goals.
In the Play-offs we still have just one of the 4 teams. In 4th place we still have CHARLTON after they won 4-0 at home to HUDDERSFIELD TOWN. Charlton have taken their goals tally to 62. Huddersfield picked up their 12th blank of the season.
Meanwhile BLACKPOOL won 2-1 at home to BOLTON WANDERERS and are on a total of 68 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league games. Bolton are on 65 goals. PETERBOROUGH UNITED lost 3-1 away to Reading and are on a total of 65 goals. BARNSLEY drew 1-1 away to Wigan and are on a total of 56 goals.
LEAGUE TWO
In the Play-offs we have three of the 4 teams with DONCASTER ROVERS being our highest team in 4th place. They won 3-0 at home against Cralisle United. Rovers are now on a total of 63 goals. AFC WIMBLEDON are down to 5th place after they drew 1-1 away to Walsall. Wimbledon are on a total of 59 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league games. NOTTS COUNTY are still in 6th place after they won 2-0 away to Newport County. County are on a total of 69 goals.
Meanwhile CHESTERFIELD won 1-0 away to Barrow and picked up goal number 63. BROMLEY lost 3-2 at home to Salford City and are on a total of 59 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league games. MK DONS lost 4-2 at home to Fleetwood Town and are on a total of 51 goals.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership Champions CELTIC won 3-0 at home against HEARTS and are now on a total of 118 goals and a goal run of 15 league/cup games. Hearts after a goal run of 10 games, picked up their 8th blank of the season. RANGERS in 2nd place won 4-3 away to DUNDEE. Rangers have taken their goals tally up to 81 goals while Dundee are now on a total of 78 goals. KILMARNOCK lost 5-1 away to St Mirren and are on a total of 36 goals. ROSS COUNTY lost 1-0 at home to Dundee Utd. County picked up their 14th blank of the season and now 2 in a row.
In League One COVE RANGERS are still in 2nd place after they lost 1-0 away to Arbroath. Rangers have picked up their 8th blank of the season and now 2 in a row. STENHOUSEMUIR are still in 3rd place after they lost 3-2 at home to Montrose. After they had failed to score in their previous 2 games, Stenhousemuir are on a total of 54 goals.
In League Two PETERHEAD have remained top after they drew 0-0 away to Forfar and that is their 11th blank of the season. EAST FIFE are still in 2nd place after they won 4-2 at home to The Spartans. Fife have taken their goals total to 67 goals. CLYDE won 2-1 away to Stranraer and are on a total of 47 goals.

Our highest goal scoring team that we have in our 42nd Season are MANCHESTER CITY after they won 8-0 at home to Salford City in the FA Cup 3rd Round in Week Twenty-Three.
Our leader CLARA STEPHENS celebrates her 3rd weekend at the top as her team’s picked up a total of 7 goals this weekend. Clara has Birmingham City, Celtic and Liverpool. So Clara has now moved up to 38th place in our “Champions League”. Clara has now beaten our 1990/91 Champion Robert Hough’s total of 174 and Geoff Dockerill’s score fo 174 from the 1994/95 season. Also Clara has beaten our 1997/98 joint Champions Mike Harrington and David Salmon’s total of 176 goals, Jed Wearden has moved back into 2nd place and is now 6 goals behind Carla, Jed picked up a total of 4 goals all coming from the weekend. His teams are Celtic, Liverpool and Peterborough United.
At the other end at 114, we have CHARLIE FARLEY with his 20th consecutive weekend. Charlie’s team’s pick him a total of 3 goals this weekend. His teams are Kilmarnock, Ross County and Stenhousemuir. Good news for Charlie this weekend and that is he is now moving up our “Losers League” to 41st place. He has now beaten John Nicholls Score of 131 goals back in the 2020/21 season.
We had a slight change to the top ten this weekend and with loads of games being played this week, it could all change next weekend.
