In Week Twenty-Eight of the competition, we had two winners this weekend winning on a score of 11 goals, but one of our players picked up his second win of the season. The other player picks up his first win of the season, which now brings our winner’s total to 36. Our winners are ANDY EYLES and ZIGGY (John Wood) who share the £5 Weekend Prize Money this weekend.
Andy last won some cash in Week Twenty-Two with a share of the Christmas Jackpot. Since then not much has happened to Andy, although this weekend is his personal best. 10th is still his best position with Arsenal being his best team.
Ziggy started with Golden Goals back in the 2010/11 season, when John had his second selection. In that season Ziggy finished in 108th place out of 109 with a total of 190 goals. Last season he finished in 41st place with 277 goals. This season, we can see Ziggy at his highest position to date. He has picked up three blank weekend score sheets. Our winner’s winning teams are,

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All but two of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top five have almost stayed the same as last week’s table. We can add another 26 players to the race for the cash this week, which brings our total to 55 players who have reached the halfway mark to 100. It was STEVE STUBBS (2) who picked up the most midweek goals with a total of 11. His teams are Celtic, Chelsea and Leicester City. Out in front again this week we have KEITH RATTLE, now with a total of 78 goals. Keith’s teams are Chelsea, Rangers and Wrexham. In second place, we still have BARBARA BARNES (1) now on a total of 72 goals. In third place, we still have SCOTT THOMSON (1) now with a total of 65 goals. In fourth place we now have RICHIE WILLIAMS moving up from fifth place with a total of 64 goals. In fifth place we still have LUCIFER but joining him this week we have PHIL COLLINS, TONY GUY (3) and MICHAEL FISHER all down from four, while STEVE STUBBS (2) has come back into the race. All have a total of 62 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had 16 of our teams without a game this weekend, plus we had another 7 of our teams that failed to score any goals. The average score was five goals last weekend but this weekend it went back up to 6 goals even though a lot of our teams had no game over the weekend. Well done if your teams picked up more than that. The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals and we had four of our teams to reach that score. They came from ARSENAL, PLYMOUTH and RANGERS. FA CUP 4th Round
We had a total of 13 teams in cup action over the weekend and out of them 9 are through to the next round. The teams that are through are MANCHESTER CITY after they won 2-0 at home against Salford and are on a total of 78 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. NORWICH CITY won 3-1 at home against West Brom and are now on a total of 52 goals. WEST HAM UNITED after they won 1-0 after extra time, away to Burton. West Ham are on a total of 37 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. SOUTHAMPTON won 2-1 in extra time against LEICESTER CITY and are on a total of 58 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. Leicester are on a total of 49 goals. NEWCASTLE UNITED won 3-1 away to ASTON VILLA and are now on a total of 52 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. Villa are on 41 goals. LIVERPOOL won 3-0 at home to BRIGHTON and are now on a total of 50 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. Brighton picked up their 8th blank scoresheet and have now failed to score in their last three games. WOLVES won 1-0 away to Grimsby and picked up goal number 31. SUNDERLAND won 1-0 away to Oxford Utd and are on a total of 30 goals. ARSENAL won 4-0 at home to Wigan and have now taken their goals tally to 67 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. BIRMINGHAM CITY go out after they drew 1-1 at home against Leeds Utd after the full 90 minutes. In extra time the score remained the same 1-1. In the penalty shootout, Leeds won 4-2. City are on a total of 49 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Middlesbrough are still in 2nd place even after they had no game again over the weekend.
In the Play-offs, we still have just one of the four teams this weekend as Ipswich Town move down to 4th place, after they had no game over the weekend.
Meanwhile, SHEFFIELD UNITED won 1-0 away to Portsmouth and are on a total of 59 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 games. . PRESTON NE drew 2-2 at home to WATFORD and are on a total of 43 goals. Watford, after they had failed to score in their previous three games, are on a total of 43 goals. BLACKBURN ROVERS won 3-1 away to QPR and are now on a total of 31 goals.
LEAGUE ONE
Top of the table CARDIFF CITY won 3-1 at home to LUTON TOWN and are now on a total of 68 goals and have now scored in all of their last 19 league/cup games. Luton pick up goal number 47.
In the Play-offs, we still have three of the four teams with BOLTON WANDERERS still in 3rd place after they drew 1-1 away to Lincoln. Bolton are now on a total of 47 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. Stockport County are still in 4th place after they had no game this weekend. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have moved down to 6th place after they lost 1-0 away to Stevenage and after a goal run of 5 league/cup games, picked up their 5th blank of the season.
Meanwhile, WYCOMBE WANDERERS lost 3-2 away to Reading and are on a total to 49 goals. PLYMOUTH won 4-0 away to BLACKPOOL and have now taken their goals tally up to 45 goals and have extended their goal run to 13 league/cup games. Blackpool picked up their 11th blank of the season. PETERBOROUGH UNITED lost 2-0 away to Bradford and picked up their 10th blank of the season.
LEAGUE TWO
Top of the table BROMLEY drew 1-1 at home to NOTTS COUNTY and are on a total of 58 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. County are on a total of 49 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. Still in 3rd place is SWINDON TOWN who lost 3-1 away to Shrewsbury and are on a total of 62 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 11 games.
In the Play-offs, we now have just three of the four teams with Notts County in 4th place with MK DONS now in 5th place after they won 1-0 at home to Newport. The Dons are now on a total of 67 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 games. CREWE are now in 7th place after they won 1-0 at home to GILLINGHAM are on a total of 50 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 games. Gillingham picked up their 6th blank of the season.
Meanwhile, BARNET drew 0-0 at home to Cheltenham and picked up their 8th blank of the season. CHESTERFIELD drew 1-1 at home to Harrogate and are now on a total of 52 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership, top of the table HEARTS have lost their 4th league game 4-2 away to RANGERS. Hearts are on a total of 68 goals while Rangers, just two points behind them, have taken their goals tally up to 67. In 3rd place we have CELTIC who won 3-2 away to Kilmarnock and are now on a total of 64 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games. HIBERNIAN won 2-0 at home to St Mirren and are on a total of 45 goals.
In the Championship we had just one game here with ROSS COUNTY are now bottom of the table after they lost 1-0 at home to Queen’s Park. That is their 10th blank of the season.
In League One, STENHOUSEMUIR are still in 2nd place after they drew 1-1 at home to Montrose and are on a total of 44 goals. It’s 30 goals for EAST FIFE after they won 2-1 at home to COVE RANGERS. Rangers are on a total of 33 goals.

Our worst performing team is WOLVES this weekend, as they have picked up 14 blank scoresheets in their 31 league/cup games.
Our highest scoring team in our 43rd season is MANCHESTER CITY. They won 10-1 at home against Exeter City in the FA CUP 3rd Round, in Week Twenty-Three.
We still have GRAHAM PHILLIPS at the top again this weekend on goal difference, which now makes it his 4th weekend and now six over the season. Graham picked up a total of 11 goals from the week. His teams are Arsenal, Celtic and MK Dons. Dave Wood moves back into second place this weekend as he picks up a total of 15 goals from his teams this week. Dave’s teams are Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle.
At the other end at 111 we still have CHARLIE FARLEY(John Wood) there for his 7th consecutive week and now eight over the season. John picked up just 4 goals this weekend. His teams are Cove Rangers, East Fife and Stenhousemuir.
