In the first Carabao/League Cup semi-finals 2nd leg, it was the London clash between ARSENAL and CHELSEA. Arsenal went 3-2 up from the first leg and then won the 2nd leg, 1-0 at home with a very late goal in injury time. Arsenal win 4-2 on aggregate and are on a total of 59 goals while Chelsea, after a goal run of 12 league/cup games, picked up their 3rd blank of the season. Arsenal are going to Wembley.
In the Championship BLACKBURN ROVERS beat bottom of the table Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 at home. Rovers are on a total of 28 goals. WATFORD drew 0-0 away to Hull and picked up their 7th blank of the season, and they have now failed to score in their last two games. SHEFFIELD UNITED won 3-1 at home against Oxford Utd and are now on a total of 47 goals.
In League Two NOTTS COUNTY have moved up to second place after they won 1-0 at home to GILLINGHAM. County are on a total of 46 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 games. Gillingham picked up their 5th blank of the season. It’s 40 goals for BARNET after they drew 1-1 at home against CREWE who are on a total of 48 goals. WALSALL picked up their 10th blank of the season after they lost 2-0 away to Bristol Rovers. SWINDON TOWN won 1-0 away to Harrogate and are on a total of 56 goals. Swindon have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games.
In the Scottish Premiership after a goal run of 11 league/cup games, top of the table HEARTS lost 1-0 away to St Mirren.
In the Championship ROSS COUNTY have won their 5th league game 1-0 away to Queen’s Park and are on a total of 36 goals.
