Brazil Lead Once Again

The first update on what is happening with the Golden Goals World Cup 2026, and after the first day the entry forms went out, we had a total of 22 that came back, which is a little more than the 2022 World Cup. We usually do not have a big following here, but this does not look promising after just one day.

With the voting, we have so far, picked 21 nations out of 48 that our players are picking up. The highest number of votes so far is once again Brazil with 15. In second place with 11 we have Argentina and Germany with 11 votes each, In third place is France with 10 votes and in fourth place with 9 we have Spain. With the co-hosts we have Canada with 3 votes and Mexico with one. Nothing for the USA at the moment.

We now only have just three nations that have been in all of our 10 World Cups, they are Argentina, Brazil and Spain.

We still have a long way to go before the closing date of 1st June. So why not give Golden Goals a go and see if you can be our next Champion. For the entry form, email goldengoals1983@gmail.com.

Arsenal March On

In the Premier League, top of the table ARSENAL won 1-0 at home against relegated Burnley. Arsenal are on a total of 89 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league games.
