Newcastle Back On Top

In the English Championship, NEWCASTLE are back on top as they beat BRIGHTON 2-1 away. Newcastle scored their two goals with just nine minutes left to play. Newcastle are now on a total of 81 goals while Brighton hit goal number 70.  ASTON VILLA are now on a total of 34 goals as they win 2-0 at home against Bristol City. DERBY picked up their sixteenth blank score sheet of the season and now no goals in their last three games as they lost 1-0 away to Blackburn.

In League One, BRISTOL ROVERS drew 1-1 away to Bolton to pick up goal number 61 while BRADFORD drew 2-2 at home to MK DONS to take their goals tally to 47 and the Dons are now on 55 goals. After a two game dry spell for goals, MILLWALL picked up goal number 64 as they beat PETERBOROUGH 1-0 at home. Borough have now had a total of ten blank score sheets. OLDHAM after a two game dry spell for goals, are now on 29 goals as they win 2-1 away to Northampton. It’s 64 goals for SCUNTHORPE as they lost 2-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon. After a tow game dry spell for goals, CHARLTON are now on a total of 47 goals as they lost 4-3 away to Shrewsbury. GILLINGHAM lost 3-1 away to Swindon and they take their goals total to 55.

In League Two, ACCRINGTON drew 2-2 at home to Wycombe and they are now on 44 goals while DONCASTER are on 68 goals after they won 3-2 away to Cambridge. COLCHESTER picked up their ninth blank of the season as they lost 1-0 away to Grimsby. PLYMOUTH picked up their tenth blank of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to Notts County. PORTSMOUTH drew 1-1 at home to Morecombe and they are now on 52 goals. LEYTON ORIENT lost 4-1 away to Stevenage and they are now on a total of 38 goals. YEOVIL have now gone three games without a goal as they drew 0-0 at home to Mansfield. Yeovil have now had a total of ten blank score sheets to date.

In the Scottish Premiership, ABERDEEN have lost pace on Celtic as they lost 1-0 away to Hamilton and they picked up their eighth blank of the season.
