STEVEN CADWELL is now celebrating is third weekend at the top this weekend
as he’s combination of teams pick him up a total of 5 goals all from the
weekend. His goals came from Berwick 1, Leyton Orient 1 and Rangers 4 and he is
now just one goal clear of MICK LIDDLE
who is now in second place. Mick picked up a total of 6 goals from Man UTD 3, and
Rangers 3. His third team Hearts who had no game this weekend.
At the other end, JOHN NICHOLLS is in his fifth weekend
at number 119 as his combination picked him up a total of 3 goals. They came
from Arsenal 2 and Bolton 1. Newcastle
had no game for him this weekend.
So again
this weekend there was not a single change in the race for the cash this week.
MICK LIDDLE is
in the lead with his teams Hearts, Manchester Utd and Rangers. Mick is on a
total of 24 goals. In second place with 23 goals is TONY KING. In third place we have BARBARA BARNES (2) on 22 goals while in fourth place on 21 we have CRAIG EVANS and TOM McDONALD. In fifth
place we have MALCOLM CORMACK, DANIEL
GOODSON and JAMES HUNTER all on
20 goals.
We had our
first Rollover of £10 for this season this weekend and the winner becomes our 7th
of the season winning on 10 goals and the money goes to our 2001/02 Champion LAURIE KING.
This is
Laurie’s highest weekend score of the season to date and this is also his
highest position so far. Laurie has been a life time player with Golden
Goals and I thank him for his support over the years. He became
Champion back in our 2001/02 season finishing on a grand total of 355 goals
from his team then of Celtic, Man City and Rangers. That total is our highest
end of season score to date but could Laurie or someone else beat that
fantastic score which he has held over such a long time?
Last
season, Laurie finished in 78th place on 242 goals but won no cash
at all. So this is a great start for him this week. His teams are
ARSENAL 2,
PETERBOROUGH 5, RANGERS 3
All of us
managed to pick up some goals this weekend as our weekend average score came in
at just 4 goals each.
The highest
score that we had over the weekend came from League One where PETERBOROUGH
picked up their highest score of the season winning 5-1 away to Oldham after
they sacked their manager in midweek. Borough have just one vote this season as
they take their goals tally to 14.
Peterborough
are in their tenth season with Golden Goals and they are our 91st
team to be picked over the years. In their first season of 1997/98 they netted
a total of 73 goals. Their best score came in 2010/11 with 129 goals. Last
season they finished on just 55. Over the ten seasons they have netted a total
of 751 goals which gives them an average of 75 goals per season to date.
MANCHESTER
CITY have remained top here
as they get a last minute goal against Crystal Palace away to make it five wins
out of five. City keep their 100% goal scoring record going after five games
and they are now on 11 goals. In second place is Leicester City with MANCHESTER
UNITED behind them in third place. They picked up their biggest win if the
season with a 3-1 home win against LIVERPOOL. The goals now give them a
total of 6 goals as Liverpool in 9th place pick up goal number three
after a two game dry spell for goals.ARSENAL are fourth as they win 2-0
at home to Stoke to give them a total of 5 goals. EVERTON are on 13 goals
this weekend as they win 3-1 at home to CHELSEA. Perhaps one of the
upsets of the season so far, Chelsea are now fourth from bottom in the
premiership with 7 goals. NORWICH won 3-1 at home to Bournemouth and are
now on 10 goals while WATFORD picked up goal number three after a four
game dry spell winning 1-0 at home to Swansea.
We have the top three teams here with BRIGHTON on top
as they win 1-0 at home to HULL. Brighton are now on 11 goals and that
keeps their 100% goal run alive after eight games. Hull on the other hand
picked up their first blank score sheet of the season. CARDIFF are in
second place as they win 2-0 at home to Huddersfield. Cardiff are on 12 goals
and keep their 100% scoring record going. In third place is MIDDLESBROUGH.
They won 2-0 at home to MK DONS. Brough are now on 14 goals while the
Dons picked up their fourth blank of the season. BURNLEY picked up their
highest score of the season as they win 3-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

4-2 away to Birmingham. BOLTON picked up their highest score of the
season as they win 2-1 at home against WOLVES. Wolves net goal number
12. It’s 15 for CHARLTON as they drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham while LEEDS
also drew 1-1 at home to BRENTFORD to give both teams a total
of 8 goals each. DERBY have also
picked up their highest score of the season as they win 2-1 away to PRESTON.
Both of the teams are on 7 goals each. NOTTINGHAM FOREST take their
goals total to nine as they win 2-1 away to QPR. Rangers are now on 15
goals.
It’s all change here as BURTON ALBION become our highest team
here in third place. They won 1-0 at home to Rochdale to give them their 11th
goal of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED are now fifth as they lost 3-1 at
home to Bury. It’s 11 goals for United this weekend. CHESTERFIELD drew
3-3 at home to Colchester and that now takes them up to 13 goals. SWINDON
are on 14 goals but lost 4-1 away to Barnsley. After a two game dry spell for
goals, MILLWALL picked up their highest score with a 3-1 away win over
Crewe. Millwall are now on 8 goals. BLACKPOOL picked up their 5th
goal as they lost 2-1 away to Top of the table Gillingham. PORT VALE

as they win 1-0 at home to Coventry. SOUTHEND picked up their 5th
blank of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to Shrewsbury.
We now have the top four teams here with LEYTON ORIENT still
on top again this weekend as they drew 1-1 away to Cambridge. Orient are now
on 15 goals. PLYMOUTH move up to second place as they beat WYCOMBE
2-1 away. Plymouth keep their 100% goals
record going and are now on 14 goals. Wycombe move down to fourth place and are
on 10. PORTSMOUTH move up to third place as they win 3-1 at home to
Barnet. Portsmouth are on 16 goals this week. EXETER win 1-0 at home to Hartlepool and that gives them a total of 16 goals while LUTON are on 15
as they lost 3-2 away to Notts County. STEVENAGE are on 10 goals as they
drew 2-2 at home to York.
In the
Premiership CELTIC lost their first league game 2-1 away to ABERDEEN who now go
top. Celtic picked up goal number 17 while Aberdeen are on 11. Both teams keep
their 100% scoring record going. In the Championship RANGERS remained top here again and still five points in front of
Falkirk in second place as they win 3-0 at home to Livingston. Rangers are
still our best team with 30 goals after just eight games. FALKIRK
won their game 3-2 away to St Mirren to give them a total of 15 goals. HIBERNIAN are on 11 goals as they win

Our Best
team this weekend is still RANGERS after scoring in
all of their eight League and Cup games played they are on a total of 30 goals
which is an average of about four goals per game.
Our highest
scoring teams in our 33rd Season are EVERTON, FALKIRK and RANGERS. Everton won 5-3 against
Barnsley in the Second Round of the Capital One Cup in Week Four.
Falkirk won 5-0 in the Scottish Communities League Cup First Round against East
Stirling in Week One, while Rangers have now scored five goals four time
already this season. First they won against Alloa in Week Two 5-1 away in a league game.
Then in Week Four they won 5-0 against Airdrie in the Second Round of the Scottish
Communities League Cup and then at the weekend in another league game
winning 5-1 away to Queen Of The South and this weekend 5-0 at home to Raith.

We still
have ten teams left that still have a 100% scoring record of which four of them
