STEVEN CADWELL is now celebrating is third weekend at the top this weekend as he’s combination of teams pick him up a total of 5 goals all from the weekend. His goals came from Berwick 1, Leyton Orient 1 and Rangers 4 and he is now just one goal clear of MICK LIDDLE who is now in second place. Mick picked up a total of 6 goals from Man UTD 3, and Rangers 3. His third team Hearts who had no game this weekend.

At the other end, JOHN NICHOLLS is in his fifth weekend at number 119 as his combination picked him up a total of 3 goals. They came from Arsenal 2 and  Bolton 1. Newcastle had no game for him this weekend.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

So again this weekend there was not a single change in the race for the cash this week.
MICK LIDDLE is in the lead with his teams Hearts, Manchester Utd and Rangers. Mick is on a total of 24 goals. In second place with 23 goals is TONY KING. In third place we have BARBARA BARNES (2) on 22 goals while in fourth place on 21 we have CRAIG EVANS and TOM McDONALD. In fifth place we have MALCOLM CORMACK, DANIEL GOODSON and JAMES HUNTER all on 20 goals.

We had our first Rollover of £10 for this season this weekend and the winner becomes our 7th of the season winning on 10 goals and the money goes to our 2001/02 Champion LAURIE KING.
This is Laurie’s highest weekend score of the season to date and this is also his highest position so far. Laurie has been a life time player with Golden Goals and I thank him for his support over the years. He became Champion back in our 2001/02 season finishing on a grand total of 355 goals from his team then of Celtic, Man City and Rangers. That total is our highest end of season score to date but could Laurie or someone else beat that fantastic score which he has held over such a long time?
Last season, Laurie finished in 78th place on 242 goals but won no cash at all. So this is a great start for him this week. His teams are

ARSENAL 2, PETERBOROUGH 5, RANGERS 3

WEEKEND RESULTS

All of us managed to pick up some goals this weekend as our weekend average score came in at just 4 goals each.
The highest score that we had over the weekend came from League One where PETERBOROUGH picked up their highest score of the season winning 5-1 away to Oldham after they sacked their manager in midweek. Borough have just one vote this season as they take their goals tally to 14.

Their best score came in 2010/11 with 129 goals. Last season they finished on just 55. Over the ten seasons they have netted a total of 751 goals which gives them an average of 75 goals per season to date.
