Midweek Results

We had a total of thirty-two of our Golden Goals teams in action last night. In the English Championship ASTON VILLA picked up their 31st goal of the season but lost 3-1 at home to Barnsley. BRIGHTON drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich to take their goals tally to 64 while CARDIFF picked up their highest score of the season as they win 4-3 away to DERBY. Cardiff are now on a total of 41 goals while Derby are on 43. It’s 52 goals for LEEDS UNITED as they win 2-1 at home to Bristol City. NORWICH drew 2-2 at home to NEWCASTLE and they are now on 69 goals. Newcastle are on a total of 75 goals. PRESTON won 2-1 at home to Birmingham and that gives them a total of 51 goals. BRENTFORD lost 3-2 away to Reading but they are now on 49 goals. It’s 40 goals for SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY as they win 2-1 at home to Blackburn. WOLVES picked up their eleventh blank of the season and now two in arrow as they lost 1-0 at home to Wigan.

In League One, BRISTOL ROVERS drew 0-0 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED to pick up their sixth blank score sheet while United picked up their fifth. MK DONS picked up their twelfth as they drew 0-0 away to Bury and now two games without a goal. BRADFORD lost 2-1 away to Fleetwood and they are now on 41 goals while GILLINGHAM are on 49 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Chesterfield. MILLWALL won 2-0 at home to PORT VALE and they are now on 62 goals while Vale picked up their twelfth blank of the season.
OLDHAM picked up another goal in their 1-0 home win over CHARLTON. Oldham are now on 27 goals while Charlton picked up their tenth blank of the season. SOUTHEND are on 46 goals as they win 2-0 away to Oxford. PETERBOROUGH won 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury and they are now on 56 goals. SCUNTHORPE drew 0-0 at home to WALSALL to pick up their fifth blank of the season and now two games in a row without a goal while Walsall picked up their eleventh blank score sheet.

In League Two, DONCASTER lost 2-1 away to Carlisle but are now on a total of 61 goals. COLCHESTER are on 47 goals as they lost 3-2 at home to Crawley. It’s 60 goals for LUTON as they win 3-0 at home to Hartlepool while ACCRINGTON STANLEY picked up their highest score of the season as they drew 4-4 away to Mansfield. LEYTON ORIENT won 3-2 away to PLYMOUTH to take their goals tally to 35 while Plymouth are now on 53 goals. PORTSMOUTH picked up another two goals in their 2-0 home win against Blackpool to take their goals total to 47. YEOVIL drew 1-1 at home to Cambridge to give them a total of 38 goals.
