In Week Forty-One of the competition and we are still on added on
time. We still have a few games left but most of our teams have now finished
their season. Some of you have picked up ten or more goals over this last week,
but it was JASON COOPER who picked
up the most with sixteen goals. They came from Liverpool, Rangers and
Tottenham.

MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
There are now two of us out in
front this week, with JAMES BLYTH and
me (Steve Reeve) both of us are on
110 goals. In second place still with a total
of 105 goals is JUNE TIGHE. In joint
third place on a total of 101 goals we have TOM BAXTER and JOHN DAVIES.
In joint fourth place on 100 goals we have CHRIS
SETFORD.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
This weekend was our
very last full Premiership league fixtures for both our English and Scottish
teams and after our let down last weekend, we had a great finish to the season.
We had thirty-three of
our teams without a game over the weekend but most of them have already
finished their season. We had, what was left, another eight teams that failed
to score any goals.
The highest score that
we had came from the English and Scottish Premierships
where TOTTENHAM in a nail
biting game, won 5-4 at home to LEICESTER
CITY. Tottenham have finished the season on a total of 95 goals while Leicester
finished on a total of 75. In the Scottish Prem, RANGERS also had a interesting game as they drew 5-5 away to
Hibernian.
Rangers finished on a
total of 98 goals and third place in the league.
PREMIERSHIP
Well done to Champions MANCHESTER CITY as they win 1-0
away to Southampton although they scored their goal in the very last minute of
play. City have once again finished with over 100 goals with 123. MANCHESTER
UNITED finished in second place after they won 1-0 at home to Watford.
United are on a total of 87 goals. Tottenham finished in third place with LIVERPOOL
down to fourth place after they won 4-0 at home to Brighton. Liverpool have
finished on a total of 88 goals. CHELSEA finished in fifth place after
they lost 3-0 away to NEWCASTLE. Chelsea picked up their tenth blank of
the season. Newcastle finished on a total of 44 goals. ARSENAL finished in sixth place after
they won 1-0 away to Huddersfield and a total of 82 goals. BOURNEMOUTH
finished on a total of 54 goals after they won 2-1 away to Burnley. WEST HAM
won their last game of the season by beating EVERTON 3-1 at home. West
Ham finished on a total of 57 goals while Everton finished on 49. CRYSTAL
PALACE won 2-0 at home against relegated WEST BROM. Palace finished
on a total of 50 goals while West Brom picked up their thirteenth blank of the
season.
CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFF
We have three of the four teams here and a good start for ASTON
VILLA as they win their first leg clash against MIDDLESBROUGH by
winning 1-0 away. That is Villa’s 80th goal of the season. Brough
picked up their thirteenth blank of the season.
LEAGUE ONE PLAY-OFF
We have just two of the four here as SCUNTHORPE drew
their first game against Rotherham 2-2 at home. Scunthorpe are now on a total
of 71 goals. CHARLTON lost their first leg game against Shrewsbury 1-0 and
that was the same result in their second leg game with Shrewsbury winning 2-0
on aggregate. Charlton picked up their fifteenth blank score sheet and they
have failed to score in their last three games.
LEAGUE TWO PLAY-OFF
We again have three of the four teams with COVENTRY who
drew their first leg game 1-1 away to Notts County. Coventry are on a total of
75 goals. LINCOLN CITY and EXETER are both still in this as they
drew 0-0. That is Lincoln’s sixteenth blank to Exeter’s tenth blank score
sheets.
SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership, Champion’s CELTIC lost their last
league game of the season with second place ABERDEEN winning 1-0 away.
Celtic picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now two in a row. Aberdeen
finished on a total of 67 goals.
In League One Play-off Final, PETERHEAD
won their second leg game against STENHOUSEMUIR 1-0 but lost 2-1 on
aggregate. 3-0. Peterhead finished on atotal of 105 goals while Stenhousemuir
picked up their tenth blank of the season.

goal scoring team in our 35th Season is PETERHEAD from the Scottish League
Two. They picked up our
highest score in week eleven as they won 9-0 at home to non-league team
Colville Park in the WILLIAM HILL CUP
Second Round.
We have had just a little change around on the top ten this week.
