Week Eleven

In Week Eleven of the competition, we did not have many of our teams in action over the week. All of the teams that did manage to play only twenty-eight of you picked up some goals. It was our 1997/98 Champion MIKE HARRINGTON that picked up the most number of goals all coming from just one of his teams, Lincoln City with six goals. Next weekend we will have our fourth Rollover (including one double Rollover) of the season, this will be our third jackpot worth £12.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
There were no midweek games this week so no goals for any of us this week and the race for the cash has remained the same as last week.
GRAHAM HARRIS is out in front with a total of 33 goals. He has Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. In second place and ten goals behind Graham we have TERRY WARWICK with 23 goals. In joint third place we have JOHN DAVIES,  RYAN WILLIAMS with 22 goals each. In joint fourth place all on 21 goals we have  JAMES BLYTH, GARY BROWN and JUNE TIGHE. In joint fifth place all on 20 goals we have CLIFF BAMBRIDGE, MARTIN CORBETT and MANDY WRIGHT.

WEEKEND RESULTS
A very quite weekend for goals this weekend due to all the International games being played. We had a total of forty-five of our teams were without a game over the weekend and another five teams failed to score any goals. The highest score that we had was six goals  and they all came from the English League Two, where LINCOLN CITY picked up their highest result of the season by winning 6-2 away to Port Vale. Lincoln are now on a total of 32 goals.
Lincoln City became our 70th voted team to play in Golden Goals and their first season was back in the 1988/89 Season finishing on a total of 71 goals. This is there sixth season with us and their highest amount of goals in a season was 78 in the 2005/06 Season. Last season they finished on a total of 66 goals. Over the six seasons, they have netted a total of 380 goals which gives them an average score of 63 goals per season to date. They have picked up just two blank score sheets this season and they have just one vote.

LEAGUE ONE
PORTSMOUTH are still on top after they won 2-1 away to AFC Wimbledon. Portsmouth are now on a total of 24 goals and they are three points in front of Peterborough. PETERBOROUGH are still in second place as they win 2-0 away to SCUNTHORPE. Borough have taken their goals total up to 30 while Scunthorpe pick up their fourth blank score sheet of the season. BARNSLEY have remained in third place and have taken their goals total to 24 as they win 3-2 at home to LUTON. Luton are now on a total of 19 goals. BRISTOL ROVERS have picked up their seventh blank of the season after they lost 1-0 away to BURTON ALBION. Rovers have now failed to score in their last four games. Burton are now on 18 goals. ACCRINGTON STANLEY won 3-1 at home against Bradford and they are now on a total of 18 goals. COVENTRY won 1-0 at home to WYCOMBE to pick up their 11th goal of the season. Wycombe picked up their fourth blank score sheet. SHREWSBURY are now on a total of 12 goals but they lost 2-1 away to Fleetwood Town. SOUTHEND won 2-0 away to Gillingham and they are now on a total of 19 goals. ROCHDALE lost 3-2 at home to Doncaster. Rochdale have taken their goals tally up to 22. PLYMOUTH are back down to the bottom of the league after they lost their eighth league game, 2-0 away to Oxford Utd. Plymouth have now had five blank score sheets.

LEAGUE TWO
Lincoln City are still top here this weekend and still four points clear after their big win with EXETER in second place after they won 2-0 at home against SWINDON. Exeter are now on a total of 25 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Swindon picked up their fourth blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last four games. MK DONS are in fourth place after they won 1-0 away to Cambridge Utd which takes their goals total to 19 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eight games.

Our BEST three teams this week with Golden Goals are

OUR WORST THREE TEAMS ARE

FALKIRK (9) HULL (11) HAMILTON (11) Total of 31 goals

Our Best teams this week are TOTTENHAM after they have scored in all of their nine League and Cup games to keep their 100% scoring record going. They have a total of 17 goals.

Our worst team is BRISTOL ROVERS this weekend as they have picked up a total of seven blank score sheets out of fifteen league and cup games played this season. They have scored just three goals in their last seven games and they have failed to score in their last four games.

Our biggest result in our 36th Season are now WEST HAM UNITED who won 8-0 at home against Macclesfield in the Carabao/League Cup Third Round in Week Nine. West Brom has the second highest score with a 7-1 home win against Queens Park Rangers in their fourth league game of the season in Week Three.  

GRAHAM HARRIS  has remained at the top this weekend, this is now his second weekend at the top and now eight for the season. Graham did not have any of his combination in action this week. His teams are once again Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. Gary Brown is in second place and he also did not have any of his teams in action this week. His teams are Ayr United, Manchester City and Sunderland  and he is still two goals behind Graham.
At the other end at 133 we have John Filtness at the bottom for his second consecutive weekend and now five weeks out of our eleven to date. His teams are  Birmingham, Hamilton and Liverpool.
