In Week Twenty-Six of the competition, we had a total of three winners again this weekend to share the £5 Weekend Prize Money. This gives them £1.66 each. The three winners now take our winners total to 35 this season. Our winners are GARY BOLBERY, TONY GUY our 2010/11 Champion and MARK JOHNSTON. They all won on a score of 10 goals.
Gary started with Golden Goals back in the 1998/99 season where he finished in the winning frame in 10th place with 293 goals. Last season he finished in 93rd place out of 114 with a total of 240 goals. This season, we can see Gary at his highest position. He picked up four blank weekend score sheets to date. His best team is Manchester City.
Tony became Champions twice, first in his very first season of 2010/11 where he finished with a total of 307 goals, which puts him in 25th and then again in the 2022/23 season with 335 goals which puts him in 7th place in our Champions League. Last season he finished in 26th place with 297 goals. Tony has 7th place first in Week Sixteen and then again in Week Twenty-Two. Arsenal is his best team with this combination.
Mark started with us in the 2020/21 season and finished in the winning frame in 5th place with 292 goals. He picked up just one shared weekend win. Last season he finished in 46th place with 274 goals. This season, Mark is at his highest to date. He has picked up three blank weekend scoresheets and Arsenal is his best team. Only 32 of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top five have nearly stayed the same as last weeks. We now have a total of 20 players who have reached the halfway mark to 100. Out in front this week we still have BARBARA BARNES (1) and KEITH RATTLE, both are on a total of 65 goals. In second place is SCOTT THOMSON (1) with a total of 62 goals. In third place we have MICHAEL FISHER on a total of 58 goals. In fourth place we still have JOHN FILTNESS our joint 2023/24 Champion and TONY GUY (3) and joining them this week we have EMMAF moving up from five. All with a total of 57 goals. In fifth place we have PHIL COLLINS coming back in with a total of 55 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had just 2 of our teams without a game this weekend, plus we had another 12 of our teams that failed to score any goals. The average score was five goals last weekend but this weekend it went up slightly to 6 goals. Well done if your teams picked up more than that. The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals and they came from three of our teams. They are ARSENAL, BROMLEY and LIVERPOOL.

We still have the top six teams here with ARSENAL still top after they won 4-0 at home to Leeds Utd. Arsenal have taken their goals tally up to 58 goals. In second place we have MANCHESTER CITY who drew 2-2 away to TOTTENHAM. City are on a total of 68 goals while Tottenham are on 39 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. In third place we still have ASTON VILLA who lost 1-0 at home to Brentford to pick up their 8th blank of the season. In fourth place we still have MANCHESTER UNITED who won 3-2 at home against Fulham. United are now on a total of 47 goals and have now scored in all of their last 13 league/cup games. CHELSEA are still in fifth place after they won 3-2 at home to London rivals WEST HAM UNITED and are now on a total of 58 goals and have extended their goal run to 12 league/cup games. West Ham are on a total of 33 goals. LIVERPOOL won 4-1 at home against NEWCASTLE UNITED and they have taken their goals tally to 45. Newcastle, after they had failed to score in their last three games, are on a total of 44 goals. NOTTINGHAM FOREST drew 1-1 at home to CRYSTAL PALACE and picked up goal number 29. Palace are on a total of 31 goals. BRIGHTON drew 1-1 at home to Everton and are on a total of 48 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. CHAMPIONSHIP
MIDDLESBROUGH are still in 2nd place, after they won 1-0 at home against NORWICH CITY. Brough are on a total of 48 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. Norwich picked up their 8th blank scoresheet.
In the Play-offs we still have two of the four and they are IPSWICH TOWN now in 4th place after they drew 1-1 at home to PRESTON NE. Ipswich are on a total of 52 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. Preston, after they had failed to score in their last 4 league/cup games, are now on a total of 40 goals. WREXHAM are still in 6th place after they won 1-0 away to bottom of the table Sheffield Wednesday and are on a total of 56 goals and have now extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games.
Meanwhile, LEICESTER CITY, after a goal run of 13 league/cup games, lost 2-0 at home to Charlton and picked up their 5th blank of the season. SOUTHAMPTON won 2-0 away to Stoke and are on a total of 51 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 games. BLACKBURN ROVERS lost 1-0 at home to Hull and that is their 11th blank of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED hit goal number 44 after they drew 1-1 away to Millwall. LEAGUE ONE
Top of the table CARDIFF CITY drew 2-2 away to Burton and are on a total of 62 goals and have now scored in all of their last 17 league/cup games.
In the Play-offs, we still have three of the four teams with BOLTON WANDERERS still in 3rd place after they won 1-0 away to AFC Wimbledon. Bolton are on a total of 43 goals. STOCKPORT COUNTY now in fourth place after they won 2-1 at home to PLYMOUTH. County are on a total of 48 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 games. Plymouth picked up goal number 40 and have extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have stayed in 6th place after they won 3-2 away to PETERBOROUGH UNITED and are now on a total of 55 goals. Borough are on a total of 39 goals.
Meanwhile, LEYTON ORIENT lost 1-0 away to Port Vale and picked up their 9th blank of the season and now two in a row. Top of the table BROMLEY picked up their biggest win of the season after they won 4-1 away to GILLINGHAM and have taken their goals tally to 55 goals. Gillingham hit goal number 41.
In the Play-offs, we now have all four teams with MK DONS moving down to 4th place after they drew 2-2 away to Grimsby. The Dons are on a total of 63 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 games. After they had failed to score in their last two games, NOTTS COUNTY are up to 5th place after they won 2-1 away to Fleetwood and are on a total of 55 goals. In 6th place we have SWINDON TOWN after they won 3-1 at home against Barrow. Swindon are now on a total of 55 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 games. WALSALL are down to 7th place after they drew 2-2 away to CHESTERFIELD. Walsall are on a total of 43 goals while Chesterfield are on 48 goals.
Meanwhile, BARNET drew 0-0 away to Shrewsbury and picked up their 7th blank of the season. CREWE won 1-0 at home to Colchester Utd and are on a total of 47 goals.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership, top of the table HEARTS won 3-0 away to Dundee Utd and are now on a total of 65 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 11 league/cup games. CELTIC have moved into second place after they won 2-0 at home against Falkirk. Celtic are on 57 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. In third place now we have RANGERS who drew 0-0 away to HIBERNIAN. Rangers, after a goal run of 11 league/cup games, picked up their 4th blank of the season. Hibs picked up their 8th blank of the season.
In the Championship, AYR UNITED won 2-1 at home to Raith and are on a total of 47 goals. Bottom of the table ROSS COUNTY lost 2-1 away to Greenock Morton and are on a total of 35 goals.
In League One, STENHOUSEMUIR are down to second place, after they drew 2-2 at home to Peterhead and are on a total of 43 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. EAST FIFE lost 3-2 at home to Montrose and are on a total of 28 goals. COVE RANGERS drew 2-2 away to Alloa and are on a total of 31 goals.
