We have had twenty-five of our teams in action this week so
far and a few of our teams have picked up their first blank score sheets of the
season. From the English Premiership on Monday night, CHELSEA
had their first game against Burnley and went a goal down in the first 14
minutes. Chelsea came back and scored three goals in the next 17 minutes to be
3-1 up at halftime. But there were no more goals in the second half which in
the end gave Chelsea a comfortable win. Chelsea are now top of the premiership
with last season’s champions Manchester City in second place.
In the Championship, CHARLTON are now on 10
goals as they win 3-2 against DERBY
at home. Charlton become our best team to date. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 2-1 away to Bournemouth to take their goals
tally to 7. It’s 7 goals for CARDIFF
as they win 1-0 at home to WIGAN. LEEDS
picked up blank number two as they lost 2-0 at home to Brighton. It’s 6 goals
in two games now for NORWICH, as
they win 3-1 at home to Blackburn. READING
lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield and are now on 7 goals. WATFORD beat ROTHERHAM
2-0 away to take their goals tally to 6. Rotherham have now had two blank score
sheets out of four games.
In League One, Both BRISTOL CITY and LEYTON ORIENT both picked up their first blank score sheet of the
season as they drew 0-0. MK DONS are
now on 10 goals as they win 1-0 away to Chesterfield. COVENTRY drew 2-2 at home to BARNSLEY
and DONCASTER drew 1-1 at home to PRESTON. Both PETERBOROUGH and SHEFFIELD
UNITED are both on 5 goals each as United win 2-1. SCUNTHORPE picked up their second blank in a row as they lost 2-0
at home to Fleetwood.
In League Two, LUTON drew 1-1 against BURY
at home while STEVENAGE picked up
their second goal as they drew 1-1 away to Plymouth. PORTSMOUTH have now scored in all of their four games of the season
as they win 2-0 at home to Northampton.
