Week Nine

We have had another fantastic week for football as DANIEL GOODSON is at the top again this weekend for his second stay. Daniel’s combination of  teams picked him up a total of  9 goals over the weekend with goals from Manchester City 6, Middlesbrough 0 and Rangers 3 and he is  now three goal clear of  TOM MACDONALD who moves up to second place this week.

At the other end, JOHN NICHOLLS is in his eight weekend at number 119 as his combination picked him up a total of 7 goals for the week. At the weekend they came from Arsenal 3, Bolton 3 and  Newcastle 1.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Only thirty-two of us picked up some more midweek goals with eight people picking up the most with three goals each. This week we have had a little change around for the race for the cash. CRAIG EVANS is in the lead once again this week but none of his teams were in action in midweek. His teams are  Hearts, Manchester City and Middlesbrough. Craig has a total of 34 goals. In joint second place both with 31 goals we have DANIEL GOODSON and MICK LIDDLE. BARBARA BARNES (2) and TONY KING are once again still in third place both on 29 goals. In fourth place is TOM MACDONALD and JAMES HUNTER moves in with three goals from Wolves, both are on 28 goals In fifth place on 27 goals and straight in is MARK HOWARD with his two goals from Swindon and down to sixth place from five of last week we have CHRIS SETFORD still on 26 goals.

We had our 13th winner of the season this weekend, winning on this season’s highest score of 13 goals. Our winner collects all of the cash prize money of £5 and that goes to one of our new players for Golden Goals, TOM MACDONALD.
Tom is just one of the twenty-three  players that joined in this season to make it our best season to date. Tom is also just one of four that have picked up the full £5. Tom has had just one blank score sheet from week one and this is the second time that he has picked up double figures at the weekend. So being that this is our highest score of the season also makes it his highest score. This is also Tom’s highest position to date. His teams are

MANCHESTER CITY 6, QPR 4, RANGERS 3

WEEKEND RESULTS
All of us once again managed to pick up some more goals this weekend and what a fantastic weekend we had for goals. Our weekends average score came back in at 7 goals each. The reason for another high score is that although we had thirteen of our teams that failed to pick up any goals this weekend we did have a few that went goal crazy.
The highest score that we had over the weekend came from the English Premiership once again where MANCHESTER CITY  picked up their highest score of the season winning 6-1 at home to NEWCASTLE.
