100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All but a few of us managed to pick up some more goals again this week but the highest score this week was a total of ten goals and they all went to DANNY HARRINGTON from Arsenal 2, Millwall and Rangers four goals each.
So at the start of the New Year here at Golden Goals we have a total of seven players that are now on or over the half way mark for the cash prize money of £40. But we do have a clear leader again this week with DANIEL GOODSON out in front with a total of 55 goals. CRAIG EVANS moves down to second place this week with a total of 54 goals. Down from two to third place on 53 goals we have TONY KING while in fourth place down from two is now JAMES HUNTER on a total of 52 goals. In fifth place we have both from last weeks second place TOM MACDONALD and RICHARD WILLIAMS both on 51 goals. In sixth place down from three is JAMES WISE on 50 goals.

What a great way to start the New Year by having five winners this weekend to share a part of the cash of £5.  Two of them have picked up their third win of the season while the other three picked up their very first win of the season which now brings our winners total to twenty-seven. Our three time winners are our 2001/02 Champion LAURIE KING and DANIEL GOODSON.
Laurie is not only top again this weekend but he has now picked up £21 in winnings to date. He has also had just the one blank weekend score sheet from week one. Best team, as with most of the other weekend winners this weekend is Rangers. A good week for Laurie as he has picked up a total of sixteen goals for the week.
Daniel has also been in that top spot for six weeks running from week eight to thirteen. Daniel has picked up four blank score sheets and Rangers is his best team.

Gary has won with his biggest score of the season although he has spent most of his time on our page three. Highest position was from week one in 62nd place. Chesterfield is his best team and he has picked up just two blank score sheets.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had a great start to the New Year from our Golden Goals teams although the average score fell down one from five of last weekend to 4 goals this weekend. The reason is simple and that is that we had eight of our teams that had no game over the weekend, with another twelve teams that failed to score.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from the English League One where CHESTERFIELD picked up their highest score of the season by winning 7-1 at home to Shrewsbury. Now Chesterfield have not be doing well here as they have only scored two goals in their last eight games. The seven goals takes them up to a total of 39 goals and they have just one vote this season.
Chesterfield are our 57th votes team in with Golden Goals and their first season was in our 1986/87 Season finishing on a total of 58 goals. Their highest score was in our 2000/01 Season with 84 goals. Last time out was back in 2008/09 Season and they finished on 68 goals. This is their 6th season with us and they have scored a total of 375 goals to date over the years. That now gives them a average score of 62 goals per season to date.
