Scottish League Cup Second Round


The second round of the SCOTTISH LEAGUE CUP or BETFRED CUP has now been completed. Out of our nine Scottish teams that started in the cup, three went out in the first round group stages. The Premiership teams joined in the second round and with the six teams in the second round another two have fallen out.
They were HIBERNIAN who lost 3-1 at home to Queen of South. The single goal takes Hibs goal tally to three. PETERHEAD are also out as they got thrashed 5-0 away to RANGERS. As Peterhead pick up their second blank score sheet of the season, it is now two games in a row. Rangers are doing very well at the moment with their highest score of the season they now have a 100% scoring record this season after six games, they are now on a total of 16 goals.
CELTIC also picked up their highest score with a 5-0 home win over Motherwell. Celtic after two games are now on 7 goals. Also through to the next round are St JOHNSTONE. They won 3-2 at home against Hearts. St Johnstone are our second best team with 14 goals. ABERDEEN will also be there as they pick up their first goals of the season with a 2-1 away win against Ayr.
