Newcastle Top of Championship

We had twenty-two of our teams in action last night and out of them only five failed to pick up any goals.
It’s good news for our NEWCASTLE fans as they go top of the English Championship as they beat Barnsley 2-0 away.  Newcastle take their goals tally to 31 and they are now one point clear of NORWICH who drew 2-2 away to Fulham. Norwich are now on 34 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. BRIGHTON have moved up to third place after they won 1-0 at home against WOLVES. That was Brighton’s 26th goal of the season while Wolves picked up their fifth blank score sheet. Meanwhile in the Championship, DERBY drew 0-0 at home to BRENTFORD to pick up their eighth blank score sheet to Brentford’s four. LEEDS picked up goal number 17 as they drew 1-1 at home to Wigan. QUEENS PARK RANGERS won 1-0 at home against Bristol City and that was their 21st goal of the season. ASTON VILLA picked up their second league win as they beat Reading 2-1 away. Villa are now on a total of 14 goals.
In League One is where we saw all of the highest scores so far this week as MK DONS drew 3-3 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS. Both MK Dons and Rovers take their goals tally to 24. PETERBOROUGH won 3-0 at home to Northampton and they are now on 28 goals while goal getter’s SHEFFIELD UNITED won 3-0 away to Shrewsbury to give them a total of 22 goals with now seven goals in their last two games. Top of the table SCUNTHORPE lost their second league game out of fourteen played by losing 2-0 away to OLDHAM. That was Scunthorpe’s second blank of the season. Oldham have taken their goals tally to 11. GILLINGHAM are now on 25 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to WALSALL who are now on 17 goals. SOUTHEND drew 1-1 away to BRADFORD to take them up to 15 goals while Bradford hit goal number 16. PORT VALE are now on 18 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to CHARLTON who are now on a total of 16 goals. MILLWALL picked up their first blank score sheet of the season after a goal run of fourteen games played as they lost 2-0 at home to Bolton.

We are now down to just three teams with that 100% scoring run. They are CELTIC after ten games, TOTTENHAM after nine games and DONCASTER after fourteen games played this season.
