Liverpool are out of the EFL Cup

LIVERPOOL are out of the EFL Cup after they lost their second leg Semi-Final game 1-0 at home to SOUTHAMPTON. Southampton win 2-0 on aggregate and the single goal takes Southampton’s goals tally to 32 and a place in the final while Liverpool picked up their sixth blank score sheet of the season.

In the English Championship, LEEDS UNITED have moved back up to third place as they win 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. Leeds are now on a total of 47 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games.

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC are now 22 points in front of second place rivals Rangers after they won 1-0 at home to St JOHNSTONE. Celtic are now on a total of 69 goals and have now extended their goal run to twenty-six games while St Johnstone picked up their sixth blank of the season.
