We had ten of our teams in league cup action and out of them five have made it through to the next round. BOURNEMOUTH have picked up their highest score of the season as they win 3-1 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. As Bournemouth take their goals tally to 12, Middlesbrough picked up goal number 21.
CRYSTAL PALACE went a goal up before they then lost 4-1 away to Bristol City. LEICESTER CITY are through and on 21 goals as they win 3-1 at home to LEEDS UNITED. Leeds are now on a total of 33 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED have made it through as they win 2-0 away to Swansea. United are now on 28 goals. NORWICH went 1-0 up in the first half against ARSENAL and then drew 1-1 at the end of full time, but Arsenal won the day 2-1 in extra time. Norwich are no a total of 24 goals while Arsenal are on 20. MANCHESTER CITY drew 0-0 at home to WOLVES and that also ended 0-0 after extra time. City then went on to win 4-1 on penalties and a place in the next round. That put an end to City’s goal run after ten games to get their first blank of the season. Wolves are out and picked up their third blank score sheet.
