In the Premier League, LIVERPOOL have caught up with Manchester City as they win 2-1 away to Southampton. Liverpool are now on a total of 114 goals. It’s all down to the very last game of the season to find out who will be this season’s champions.
In the Championship play-off second leg
game, NOTTINGHAM FOREST went 2-1 up against SHEFFIELD UNITED
from the first leg but it was Sheffield Utd that won the second leg 2-1 away. This
meant that the teams drew 3-3 on aggregate and even after extra time there was
no shift in the score line. So it went to penalties where Forest won 3-2. Forest
are now on a total of 85 goals while Sheffield finished on a total of 69 goals
and they had scored in all of their last seven games.
So Forest will play
Huddersfield in the finals after Huddersfield won their tie 2-1 on aggregate
against Luton. The final is to be played on 29 May.
