Good Friday Results

In the Championship, we now have three of the four teams in the play-offs. They are MIDDLESBROUGH are down to third place after they lost 2-1 at home to Millwall. Brough are on a total of 61 goals. Ipswich Town are in fourth place while WREXHAM come back in as they drew 2-2 away to West Brom. Wrexham are on a total of 77 goals and have extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games.

Meanwhile, BIRMINGHAM CITY lost 1-0 at home to BLACKBURN ROVERS and picked up their 12th blank of the season and have failed to score in their last two league games. Rovers are on a total of 38 goals. BRISTOL CITY won 2-1 away to Charlton and are on a total of 58 goals. NORWICH CITY drew 1-1 at home to Portsmouth and picked up goal number 63. WATFORD lost 2-1 away to QPR and are on a total of 53 goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED drew 3-3 at home to Swansea and are now on a total of 61 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 13 league/cup games. Fighting relegation, LEICESTER CITY third from bottom drew 2-2 at home to PRESTON NE. City are on a total of 58 goals while Preston are on 50 goals. 

In League One, with Cardiff City still in second place, we have just two of the four teams in the play-offs. They are BOLTON WANDERERS in third place who won 2-1 away to PLYMOUTH and are on a total of 62 goals after they had failed to score in their previous two league games. Plymouth are on 65 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. In fifth place we have STOCKPORT COUNTY won 3-0 at home to WYCOMBE WANDERERS and are now on a total of 63 goals. County have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. Wycombe picked up their 11th blank of the season.

Meanwhile, BLACKPOOL won 1-0 at home to Exeter and are on a total of 53 goals. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN drew 1-1 at home to Reading and are on a total of 64 goals. It’s 60 goals for LUTON TOWN after they won 2-1 at home to PETERBOROUGH UNITED. Brough picked up their 60th goal of the season and now have a goal run of 7 league/cup games. 

In League Two, top of the table, BROMLEY drew 2-2 away to BARNET and are on a total of 68 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. Barnet are on a total of 55 goals and have a goal run of 5 league/cup games. In second place MK DONS drew 0-0 at home to Barrow and picked up their 7th blank of the season and now two games without a goal.

In the play-offs we have three of the four teams with NOTTS COUNTY in fourth place after they lost 2-1 away to Salford and are on a total of 70 goals. In sixth place we have Swindon Town while in seventh place we have CHESTERFIELD who won 1-0 at home against Cheltenham and are on a total of 64 goals.

Meanwhile CREWE lost 2-0 away to Accrington and picked up their 11th blank of the season. WALSALL drew 2-2 at home to GILLINGHAM and are on a total of 57 goals. Gillingham are on 49 goals.
