Week Thirty-Five

In Week Thirty-Five of the competition, we did not have any prize money again this week, due to the internationals being played and the Easter fixture. We do have our sixth Rollover next weekend worth £10.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Half of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top six has mainly stayed the same as last week’s table once again. It was PHIL COLLINS that picked up the most amount of goals on Good Friday with 8 goals. They came from Leicester City, Sheffield United and Stockport County. Still out in front again this week we have KEITH RATTLE, now with a total of 92 goals and still needs just 8 goals to win the cash. Keith’s teams are Chelsea, Rangers and Wrexham. In second place, we still have BARBARA BARNES (1) now on a total of 84 goals. In third place, we still have SCOTT THOMSON (1) now on a total of 79 goals. In fourth place, we still have MICHAEL FISHER now on a total of 78 goals. In fifth place, we still have JOHN FILTNESS, our 2023/24 joint Champion and TONY GUY (3) but they are now joined with PHIL COLLINS who moves back in the race. All on a total of 77 goals. In sixth place, we have RICHIE WILLIAMS now with a total of 75 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had a total of 16 of our teams in action this weekend plus we had another 4 of our teams that failed to score any goals. Due to the international games and the Easter fixtures being played over the week, we were very low on goals once again. The highest score over the weekend was 7 goals, and we had just one of our teams that reached that score. They were from CHELSEA in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Lets get on with the results to see how your teams have performed this weekend.

FA CUP Quarter-Finals

We had six of our Golden Goals teams in the quarter-finals and out of them three are through to the semi-finals. The ones that are in the semi-finals are MANCHESTER CITY after they won 4-0 at home to LIVERPOOL and have taken their goals tally to 93 goals. City have extended their goal run to 13 league/cup games. Liverpool after a goal run of 13 league/cup games, picked up their 6th blank of the season. CHELSEA picked up their biggest result of the season as they win 7-0 at home to Port Vale.
