Bank Holiday Monday Results


On Bank Holiday Easter Monday we had just one of our English premiership teams in action and they were Manchester City. They won 3-1 at home against West Brom and it takes their goals tally to 126 goals and are on target to beat that Peterboroughs record score of 129.
Preston picked up the highest score of the day as they win 5-2 at home to Shrewsbury and that now gives them a total of 80 goals. Peterborough have not done very well on the goals front lately but they made up some ground with a 4-1 home win against Carsile which now gives them 88 goals. It’s 72 goals for Birmingham as they lost 4-2 at home to Blackburn. After a two game dry spell, Blackpool picked up goal number 37 as they drew 1-1 away to Brighton. Wigan picked up their 17th blank of the season as they lost 2-0 away to Burnley while Bournemouth drew 2-2 away to Ipswich. Bournemouth are now on 68 goals. Nottingham Forest won 2-0 away to Leeds Utd and are now on 79 while Leeds picked up their 16th blank of the season. They have now scored just three goals in their last six games. Doncaster picked up their 19th blank of the season and now two games in a row as they drew 0-0 away to Millwall. QPR won 2-1 at home against Watford to take their goals total to 58 while Watford picked up goal number 82. Charlton won 3-2 away to Sheffied Wednesday and are now on 48 goals. Wolves are on 87 goals as they win 3-1 away to Leyton Orient who are now on 89. MK Dons after a two game dry spell of goals drew 2-2 at home to Brentford. The Dons are on 73 while Brentford are on 79. Bristol City won 3-1 away to Stevenage and are now on 79 goals. Swindon picked up goal number 65 as they win 1-0 at home against Bradford. Sheffield United picked up their 13th blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Tranmere. Gillingham drew 1-1 away to Walsall and are on 59 goals. Bristol Rovers lost 2-1 at home to Rochdale and are on 50 goals while Fleetwood picked up goal number 69 as they win 1-0 at home against Wycombe. Portsmouth won 1-0 away to Northampton and are on 50 goals. Scunthorpe are on 67 as they win 1-0 at home against Oxford. Southend picked up goal number 64 as they win 1-0 at home to Accrington.
Also this week, Bolton picked up their 13th blank score sheet and now two in a row as they lost 1-0 at home to Leicester City. City picked up goal number 95. Reading are on 65 as they win 2-0 at home against Middlesbrough. Brough have now a total of thirteen blank score sheets. In Scotland Rangers won 2-1 at home against Ayr and are now on 116 goals.
