Week Five

Not much has happened since the last time I posted the last week's sheet, this is due to the European Championship games which have now been in play for a week. Still we did get one game in midweek last Friday where COVENTRY beat Gillingham 1-0 at home from League One. The win moves Coventry up to 8th place in the league and they are now on a total of 8 goals.

At the weekend only seven of our teams saw any action this weekend. They came from our English League’s one and two. No Scottish at all this weekend. The sad news is that out of them seven teams only three managed to score goals.
The highest score came from League One where PETERBOROUGH won 3-1 at home against Port Vale. That takes their goals total to 12. They have seven votes this season and all of them are hoping to see them beat their best score of 129 goals back in our 2011/12 Season. Last season they clocked up a total of  94 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
PETERBOROUGH are our top again this weekend after their win with BRISTOL CITY in second palace as they win 2-0 at home against SCUNTHORPE. City are now on 10 goals while Scunthorpe picked up their fourth blank score sheet of the season.

LEAGUE TWO
All four of our teams played here at the weekend with STEVENAGE being the only team to score. They lost 3-2 at home to York and are now in 17th place in the league. They have also scored a total of 8 goals to date. BURY are still our highest team here in sixth place as they drew 0-0 away to Wycombe. That was Burys second blank of the season. PORTSMOUTH picked up their third blank score sheet in a row as they lost 2-0 away to Burton. LUTON also picked up their third blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 at home to Plymouth.

THE BEST THREE TEAMS ARE… MK DONS (16) WATFORD (15) HEARTS (14) Total of 45 goals.

THE WORST THREE TEAMS ARE… QPR (1) MAN UTD (2) ROTHERHAM (3) Total of 6 goals.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS are still our worst team to date for this season. After just four games which are three league games and a cup game, Rangers have only picked up one goal so far. They also have just one vote this season.

CELTIC and CHELSEA have both picked up the highest score to date. Celtic beat Dundee UTD 6-1 at home in their second league game while Chelsea won 6-3 away to Everton in their third league game of the season.
