So in our very first weekend to the new season we are already starting to pay out the prize money.This weekend we have produced our very first weekend winner, and that means that the first £5 weekend prize money goes to the ladies, SILVIA FERNANDES who picks up this weekends highest score of just 8 goals from her combination.Silvia is her third season with Golden Goals and here are her teams for this season
CELTIC 2, CHELSEA 2, MK DONS 4
Out of our 57 teams that have been picked this season, four had no game and another fourteen teams failed to score any goals. So lets have a quick run down on this weekends results starting with the English Premiership.
PREMIERSHIP
WEST HAM are our highest team here as they
win 2-0 away to ARSENAL to put them in third place in the table. Not a
great start to the Gunners season. CHELSEA drew 2-2 at home to Swansea
while EVERTON drew 2-2 at home to WATFORD. MANCHESTER UNITED won
1-0 at home to TOTTENHAM and LIVERPOOL won 1-0 away to Stoke. NORWICH
lost 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace and NEWCASTLE drew 2-2 at home to
Southampton.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Here is where we see one of our highest scoring teams this
weekend when MK DONS won 4-1 away to Rotherham to go top of the table. CHARLTON are second as
they win 2-0 at home to Q.P.R. In third place is HULL as they win
2-0 at home to Huddersfield. WOLVES won 2-1 away to Blackburn and DERBY
drew 0-0 away to BOLTON. BRENTFORD drew 2-2 at home to IPSWICH
while CARDIFF drew 1-1 at home to Fulham. LEEDS UTD picked up
their first goal with a 1-1 draw at home to BURNLEY and PRESTON
drew 0-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. BRISTOL CITY lost their first game
2-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday.
LEAGUE ONE
SWINDON picked up the highest score here
with a 4-1 home win against Bradford which put them in second place in the
table. CHESTERFIELD are third as they win 3-1 at home to Barnsley. BURTON
ALBION won 2-1 at home to SCUNTHORPE while BLACKPOOL drew 2-2
away to Colchester. WIGAN picked up their first blank in their first
game as they lost 2-0 away to Coventry. PORT VALE drew 0-0 away to Crewe
and SOUTHEND drew 1-1 away to Fleetwood. SHEFFIELD UNITED lost
4-0 away to Gillingham and PETERBOROUGH lost 2-0 away to Rochdale. MILLWALL
won 2-1 away to Shrewsbury.
LEAGUE TWO
PORTSMOUTH are our highest team here in week
one as they win 3-0 at home to Redbridge. WYCOMBE are third as they win
3-0 at home to York. PLYMOUTH won 2-0 away to AFC Wimbledon while LUTON
drew 1-1 away to Accrington. EXETER won 3-2 at home against Yeovil and LEYTON
ORIENT won 2-0 at home to Barnet. STEVENAGE lost 2-0 at home to
Notts County.
SCOTTISH
LEAGUES
In the Scottish
Premiership, CELTIC are top after two games as they win game number two
against Partick winning 2-0 away. They
have now scored four goals. ABERDEEN
are second as they also win their second game 2-0 at home to Kilmarnock. Aberdeen
have scored three goals. HEARTS are
third and yes, the have also won both games. This weekend they won 2-1 away to
Dundee and with the goals in the cup, Hearts are now on 10 goals and are our
best team.
Meanwhile
with the others, HIBERNIAN are on
four goals but lost their first league game 2-1 away to Dumbarton. FALKIRK drew their
first game and with the goals in the cup are now on six goals. They drew 1-1 against
Morton away. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH won
3-1 against Alloa and they are now on seven goals. STENHOUSEMUIR picked up their first goals of the season as they
drew 2-2 away to Peterhead. BERWICK
won 3-1 at home to Montrose and they are on five goals. CLYDE also picked up their first goal of the season as they win 1-0
away to Stirling. QUEENS PARK picked
up their second blank score sheet of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to
Annan Athletic.Queens are our worst team so far.
As you can
see that most of us have picked some goals in our first week of football. MICK LIDDLE is out in front by one goal
with his combination of Hearts, Manchester United and Rangers.
