We did not have a brilliant week for goals but RICHARD WILLIAMS is in his third weekend at the top
as he picks up a total of five goals for the week. Richard’s combination of teams picked him up a total of two goals in
midweek from Hibs and the other three came at the weekend. Richard is now on a
total of 124 goals. His teams are Hibernian, Manchester City and Rangers. He is
three goals in front of LAURIE KING who
moves up to second place after his teams
picked him up a total of seven goals all coming from the weekend. Our 2001/02
Champion’s teams are Arsenal,
Peterborough and Rangers.
At the other end, it’s still JOHN NICHOLLS now in his fifteenth
weekend at number 119 as his combination picked him up just tow goals all
coming from the weekend. His teams are
Arsenal, Bolton and Newcastle.
Once again
this week just one of us managed to pick up the highest score this week with
seven goals and they all went to BARRY BURROUGHS who had Queens
Park and Middlesbrough, who beat QPR 1-0. His third team is Manchester City. Barry
is now on a total of 32 midweek goals and slightly behind the field. So there was just a little change in the race for the cash
this week.
CRAIG EVANS is
in the lead this week after he picked up one goal from Middlesbrough. (His
teams are Hearts, Manchester City and Middlesbrough). Craig has a total of 42
goals. In second place we have DANIEL GOODSON
with 38 goals. In third place up
from four of last week we have RICHARD
WILLIAMS on 36 goals. In fourth
place both on 35 goals we have TONY KING
down from three and still there NATHAN
TREADWELL. In fifth place down from four we have BARBARA BARNES (2) and ADRIAN
BEW both down from fourth place with MARK
HOWARD still there all on a total of 34 goals.
Laurie has been supporting us for a long while now but it was
in our 2001/02 Season that Laurie made his name as our highest ever winner in
Golden Goals with a total of 355 goals.
Picking up just under £50 in winnings including three weekend wins, Laurie's
teams were Celtic, Manchester City and Rangers.
This season, Laurie has moved up to second place for the
second time this season. His lowest position was 82nd place in week
three. He has picked up just one blank score sheet from week one and is best
team is Rangers. Laurie's teams are
ARSENAL 1, PETERBOROUGH 5, RANGERS 1
All but two
of our teams were in action over the weekend but it was not a very high scoring
weekend as the average score was just 3 goals. Once again our top teams failed
to perform well even though we had just eleven teams that failed to score any
goals.
The highest
score that we had came from two of our Golden Goals teams. They were PETERBOROUGH from the English league
one were they beat Crewe 5-1 away. It’s their third time of scoring five goals
in a game. That now takes Boroughs goals tally to 45 goals and have extended
their goals run to twenty games.
Our second
team to hit five came from the Scottish league two where CLYDE picked up their highest score of the season by beating BERWICK 5-0 away to move them up to second
place in the league. Clyde have picked up a total of thirteen goals over their
last four games. They are now on a total of 24 goals. Both teams have just one
vote each. Berwick
picked up their 4th blank and now two games in a row with out a
goal.
PREMIERSHIP
MANCHESTER
UNITED are in second place
behind Leicester City as they win 2-1 away to WATFORD. United are now on
22 goals while Watford picked up goal number twelve. Well it’s all gone wrong
here for MANCHESTER CITY as they get a right old beating by LIVERPOOL
4-1at home. City are now down to third place with 36 goals. Liverpool picked up
their biggest win of the season and are now on 19 goals. Fourth is ARSENAL
but they lost 2-1 away to West Brom. Arsenal picked up goal 25. Behind them
come TOTTENHAM who beat London rivals WEST HAM 4-1 at home. Both
teams are now on a total of 25 goals each. West Ham are now in sixth place in
the league. EVERTON are now on 32 goals as they win 4-0 at home against

up their 6th blank of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to
Rotherham. Another single goal for MK DONS as they drew 1-1 at home to

are now on 11 goals as they lost 2-1 away to Reading.
Once again we have just two of our teams in the top five here
with WIGAN moving into fourth place as they win 1-0 at home to
Shrewsbury. Wigan are now on 30 goals. BURTON ALBION have moved down to
fifth place as they lost 1-0 away to Bury. That was their 7th blank
of the season and now two games in a row. Burton have scored just four goals in
their last nine games. SWINDON lost 4-1 away to Fleetwood but are now on
25 goals. MILLWALL picked up their highest score of the season as they
win 4-1 at home to Colchester. Millwall take their goals total to 32. PORT

25 goals as they drew 1-1 away to AFC Wimbledon.
In the Premiership,
CELTIC drew their third league game
of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to Kilmarnock. That was Celtic’s 2nd
blank of the season. HEARTS are
second as they drew 1-1 at home against Dundee to pick up goal number 37. ABERDEEN are now third as they drew 1-1
away to Hamilton. Aberdeen hit goal number 22.
In the Championship, RANGERS are still top as they drew their first league game of the
season 1-1 away to Livingston. Rangers are the first team to hit 50 goals. HIBERNIAN are on 37 goals as they win

PETERBOROUGH (45) CELTIC (42) Total of 137 goals
OUR WORST THREE TEAMS ARE
BOLTON (11)
WATFORD (12) BLACKPOOL (15) Total of 38 goals
Our worst
team this week is still BOLTON even though they picked up a single goal this weekend. They
have had a total of eleven blank score sheets out of eighteen games played. They
have scored just two goal in their last seven games.
Our Best
team this weekend is still RANGERS after scoring in
all of their seventeen League/Cup games played, they are on a total of 50 goals
and they could be well on their way to
their 15th season of 100 goals or more.
We now have
six high scoring teams in our 33rd Season. From the Scottish
Premiership CELTIC won 6-0 at home to
Dundee in a league game in week seven while MANCHESTER
CITY won 6-1 at home to Newcastle in the League in week nine. NEWCASTLE’S won 6-2 at home against
