DANIEL GOODSON is at the top for his sixth weekend. Daniel’s combination of
teams picked him up a grand total of
eleven goals for the week with six of them coming from the weekend from Manchester
City 2, Middlesbrough 3 and Rangers 1. He has extended his lead to three goals of
RICHARD
WILLIAMS who moves back into second place after his teams picked him up a
total of ten goals this week. Richards teams are Hibernian, Manchester City and
Rangers.
At the other end, it’s still JOHN NICHOLLS now in his twelfth
weekend at number 119 as his combination picked him up another three goals all
at the weekend. His teams are Arsenal, Bolton and Newcastle.
All but
fourteen of us managed to pick up some more midweek goals this week with three
players picking up the highest score of eight goals each. All three had Celtic
and Manchester City in their combinations but BRADLEY CLARK picking up his other goal from Norwich while CHRIS NUNN got his goal through Chelsea. IAN SMITH picked up his other goal from Brentford.
CRAIG EVANS is
in the lead again this week with his teams of Hearts, Manchester City and Middlesbrough. Craig
has a new total of 40 goals. In second place up from three we have DANIEL GOODSON with 36 goals. In joint third place we have BARBARA BARNES (2) up from fourth place
and MARK HOWARD both now on 34 goals
while we have a hat full of names in
fourth place all on 33 goals. They are JAMES
HUNTER from five, TONY KING down
from two,
TOM MACDONALD up from fifth place with NATHAN TREADWELL. In fifth place on 32
goals we have MICK
LIDDLE down from three and ADRIAN
BEW comes straight in this week.
WEEKEND RESULTS
For the third
weekend running the average score has remained at six goals but we did have a
bad weekend for goals. We had four teams that had no game with another fifteen
teams that failed to score any goals.
Our highest
score came from the English Premierships
where EVERTON picked up their
highest score of the season with six goals. They beat Sunderland 6-2 at home.
Everton
have just one vote this season and the six goals now gives them a total of 27
goals. Everton became our 42nd team to be voted in with Golden
Goals back in our 1985/86 Season where they finished on a grand total of
111 goals. This is the only time that they have scored 100 or more goals in the
seventeen seasons that they have been with us. Last season they scored just 51
goals. Over the seasons Everton have scored a total of 1,120 goals which gives
them an average score of 65 goals per season.
PREMIERSHIP
We have just the top two teams this week with MANCHESTER
CITY still on top after they win 2-1 at home to NORWICH City have
had a great week for goals as they take their total up to 35. ARSENAL
are still in second place as they win 3-0 away to Swansea. Arsenal are now on
23 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in fourth place as they drew 0-0
away to Crystal Palace. United have now pick up blank number five and they have
now failed to score in their last three games. WEST HAM have moved back
down to fifth palce as their 100% scoring record came to the end after they lost 2-0 away to WATFORD.
West Ham pick up their very first blank after a run of eleven games. Watford
are at last in double figures with 10 goals. LIVERPOOL are now on a total
of 14 goals as they win 3-1 away to troubled CHELSEA. Chelsea picked up
goal number 21 but they have scored in all of their last eleven games. NEWCASTLE
picked up blank number seven and have not scored in their last two games as
they drew 0-0 at home to Stoke.
We have the top five teams here this weekend with BRIGHTON
still being in top place as they drew 1-1 away to Reading. Brighton take their
goals tally to 21. HULL are still in second place as they win 2-0 away
to MK DONS. Hull are now on 26 goals and they have scored in all of
their last ten games while the Dons picked up their 8th blank and
now three games in a row without a single goal. BURNLEY are in third
place as they win 2-1 at home to Huddersfield to pick up their 20th
goal of the season. MIDDLESBROUGH come next in fourth place as they win
3-0 at home to CHARLTON. Brough are now on a total of 31 goals while Charlton
picked up blank number six and now it’s been four games with out a goal. DERBY
are in fifth place as they win 3-0 at home to Rotherham and that gives them a
total of 22 goals. WOLVES won 2-0 away to Birmingham and they are now on
24 goals while BRISTOL CITY are on 17 as they loss 4-1 at home to
Fulham. IPSWICH drew 0-0 at home to CARDIFF to pick up their 5th
and Cardiff’s 4th blank score sheet. PRESTON drew 0-0 at home
to BOLTON. Preston have now had six blank score sheets to Bolton’s nine.
BURTON
ALBION are now in second
place this weekend as they win 1-0 away to Oldham. Burton are now on 18
goals. WIGAN are next still in fifth place as they win 1-0 at home to
SWINDON. Wigan are now on 27 goals while Swindon pick up blank number five. BLACKPOOL
may of lost 4-3 away to Bury but they are now on 15 goals with their biggest
score of the season. It’s 35 goals for PETERBOROUGH as they lost 3-2 away
to Coventry. Borough have now scored in all of their last seventeen games. SHEFFIELD
UNITED picked up their 4th blank as they lost 1-0 away to Crewe.
CHESTERFIELD won 1-0 away to Fleetwood and picked up goal number 22 while
MILLWALL drew 0-0 at home to Bradford and that was their 5th
blank of the season. PORT VALE won 2-0 at home to Shrewsbury and are now
on a total of 19 goals. It’s 22 for SCUNTHORPE as they win 2-0 at home
to Barnsley. SOUTHEND are on 17 as they drew 2-2 at home against
Rochdale.
PLYMOUTH are top here as they win 2-0 at
home to Morecombe. Plymouth are now on 26 goals. 29. Down to third place this weekend we have PORTSMOUTH
who lost 2-1 away to Notts County. Portsmouth picked up goal number 26 of the
season. LEYTON ORIENT are down to seventh place this weekend as they lost
1-0 at home to Accrington. Orient picked
up their 2nd blank after a goal run of nine games. LUTON won
2-0 away to Redbridge and that now gives them a total of 31 goals. EXETER
lost 2-0 away to Barnet to pick up their 5th blank score sheet. WYCOMBE won 2-0 away to Mansfield and
they are now on 20 goals. STEVENAGE lost 5-1 at home to Oxford to pick
up goal number 20.
In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC beat third place ABERDEEN 3-1 at home. Celtic are on 38
goals while Aberdeen hit goal number 19. HEARTS
are now in second place as they win 4-0 away to Partick. Hearts are now on 34
goals.
In the Championship, RANGERS lost their first league game 2-1 away to HIBERNIAN. Rangers are our only team with a 100% scoring record and that goal was
number 45. Hibs take their goals total to 27. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH. Won 2-1 away to Alloa and are now on 18 goals. FALKIRK are on 26 as they win 3-0 at
home to St Mirren. In the lower Leagues STENHOUSEMUIR
are now on a total of 20 goals as they win 4-3 at home to Peterhead. BERWICK lost 4-1 away to Montrose but
it is their 19th goal of the season. QUEENS PARK drew 1-1 at home to CLYDE to pick up their 18th goal of the season while
Clyde picked up goal number 12 after a two game dry spell.

Our Best
team this weekend is still RANGERS after scoring in
all of their fifteenth League/Cup games played, they are on a total of 45 goals
which is an average of three goals per game.
We have had
four high scoring teams in our 33rd Season. From the Scottish
Premiership CELTIC won 6-0 at home to
Dundee in a league game in week seven while MANCHESTER
CITY won 6-1 at home to Newcastle in the League in week nine. NEWCASTLE'S won 6-2 at home against
Norwich in the League from week eleven and now EVERTON have won 6-2 at home
also in a league game against Sunderland.
The good news this week is that we have now had a total of thirteen players that have now picked up 100 or more goals. But here is the changing top ten for this weekend.
