We have had three of the four teams playing in the first lot of the EFL League Cup Quarter-finals being played
this week.
Two late goals for LIVERPOOL see them through to the Semi-finals
as they beat LEEDS UNITED 2-0 at home. The goals take’s Liverpool’s
goals tally to 44 while Leeds are out and pick their sixth blank of the season. In the other game NEWCASTLE took on Hull away but found this game
a bit trying as they drew 0-0 at full time. Extra time was played when Newcastle
hit the net first but quickly followed by a goal from Hull to end the extra
time at 1-1. In the penalty shootout, Hull won 3-1 to go through to the next
round. Newcastle are now on a total of 47 goals.
