It’s Week Fifteen but there were no winners
this weekend due to the World Cup Qualifying Rounds being played over midweek
and the weekend. So We have another Rollover next weekend worth £12 in cash.
But we did
get two players that picked up the highest score of five goals from teams that
did manage to play over the weekend. They are FIONA CARTHY from Peterborough 1 and Portsmouth 4 with her third
team Celtic who had no game. RICKY WOOD our
2007/08 Champion also picked up five goals also from Peterborough 1 and
Portsmouth 4 with his third team Rangers.
100
MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

game over midweek the race for the cash remains the same as last weeks sheet. DAVID SMITHERS is top with a total of 60 goals. His teams are Chelsea, Newcastle and
Rangers. CHRIS SETFORD is in second
place with 57 goals. In third place on a total of 55 goals we have TONY GUY (2), MANGO and GRANT PHILLIPS. In fourth place we have
DARYL NICHOLLS on a total of 54

It has been
a very quite week here at the Golden Goals HQ as we had the World
Cup Qualifying Rounds taking part over the whole week. So many of us this week
picked up another blank score sheet with only half of us picking up a goal here
and there. Being that the table this season is really tight, there has been a
few changes as you have seen.
But with
the teams that did manage to play we had a really good weekend for goals with
five of our teams picking up four goals each. Out of our fifty-four teams that
we have in season 34, we had a total of thirty teams that had no game over the
weekend and out of the twenty-four teams that did play only six failed to net
any goals.
We now have five of the six top teams here with SCUNTHORPE
still top as they win 1-0 away to Coventry. Scunthorpe are now on a total of 41
goals and they are five points clear of BRADFORD in second place as they
win 4-0 at home to Rochdale and picked up their biggest score of the season.
Bradford are now on 27 goals and they have now scored eleven goals in their
last four games. SHEFFIELD UNITED are in third place as they pick up
another four goals as they win 4-1 away to Chesterfielld. United are on a total
of 37 goals with fifteen goals in their last four games. PETERBOROUGH
are in fifth place as they win 1-0 at home to Bolton and are now on 33 goals. BRISTOL
ROVERS are in sixth place but they went down 4-0 away to MILLWALL.
Rovers picked up their second blank of the season while Millwall take their goals
tally to 35. SOUTHEND picked up their highest score to date as they win
4-1 away to Bury and that now gives them a total of 23 goals. It’s 31 goals for
GILLINGHAM as they win 2-1 at home to Northampton. MK DONS drew
1-1 at home against WALSALL. The Dons are on 29 goals while Walsall hit
goal number 21. OLDHAM are third from bottom in this league as they
picked up their twelfth blank of the season by drawing 0-0 at home to AFC
Wimbledon. Oldham have now scored just four goals in their last six games. PORT
VALE are on 24 goals as they win 2-1 at home to Fleetwood. CHARLTON lost
3-0 away to Swindon and picked up their fifth blank of the season.
We have four of the top seven teams here with PLYMOUTH
staying on top after they won 2-1 away to Crewe. That puts them on a total of
30 goals and they have now scored in all of their last fifteen games. Another
team that is doing very well is DONCASTER who are now in third place
after they won 3-1 away to Exeter to take their goals tally to 35 goals. They
have kept their 100% goal scoring record going after eighteen games this
season. In fourth place is PORTSMOUTH. They won 4-0 at home to Mansfield
and they pushes their goals total to 30. LUTON are in fifth place after
they won 1-0 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Luton are now on 31 goals.
Accrington picked up their fifth blank score sheet of the season. After a two game dry spell for goals, LEYTON ORIENT
won 3-0 away to COLCHESTER and that now gives them a total of 21 goals
while Colchester picked up their sixth blank of the season. It’s 20 goals for YEOVIL
as they drew 2-2 away to Stevenage.
SCOTTISH

lower leagues, PETERHEAD drew 0-0

scoring run of eight games.

none of his combination in action over the week. His teams are Celtic,
Newcastle and Norwich.
At the other end at 136 we now have
