We did not have a bad first day for the New Entry Forms for the Golden Goals Season 36. As we have only had a total of 59 entries back. Last season’s first day from that historic season was 74 entries which was half of our final total. So could we be looking at a smaller season? Out of the 59 entries, just two are new to the competition and we would like to welcome them to their very first season.
So how is the team
selection looking so far?
We have thirty-three English
teams with Manchester City once again picking up the most votes with 41. In
second place we have Liverpool with 13. Third place is Arsenal with 9 while in fourth
place is Tottenham with 8.
We have nine teams at the
moment from our Scottish leagues with Celtic leading the votes once again with
37. Rangers are second with just 7 votes. Third place is Peterhead with 6.
We still have a long way to
go yet but we need more players to beat last season’s total of 149 players
although we still have a lot of our regulars to send in their teams yet.
We have had quite a few hits now
with over 28,000 on our blog and I thought that I would be a great idea if
players from other countries who would like to take part could get their
families and friends to form teams ie Team USA or Team Russia who are our
biggest bloggers here.
