Carabao Cup Third Round

We had eleven of our teams in cup action last night in the third round of the Carabao Cup. Out of them only six have made it through to the next round.
The shock of the night is the defeat of MANCHESTER UNITED by DERBY. Although United went a goal up in the first three minutes, they drew the game 2-2 at home. In the penalty shoot-out they lost 8-7 to put Derby in to the next round. United have taken their goals total to 11 while Derby are now on 21. BOURNEMOUTH won 3-2 at home against BLACKBURN and they are now on 16 goals to Blackburn’s total of 22. BURTON ALBION are through after going a goal down as they win 2-1 at home to Burnley. Burton are now on 15 goals. FULHAM won 3-1 away to Millwall and they are now on 13 goals. MANCHESTER CITY have extended their goal run to seven games as they win 3-0 away to Oxford Utd. City are now on a total of 22 goals. WOLVES drew 0-0 at home to LEICESTER CITY but City went on to win on penalties 3-1. Wolves picked up their second blank of the season while Leicester picked up their first after a goal run of seven games. WYCOMBE are out as they lost 4-3 at home to Norwich. Wycombe are now on a total of 15 goals. WEST BROM are out as they picked up their second blank of the season as they lost 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace.

In the Scottish Betfred Quarter-Finals, HIBERNIAN drew 0-0 at home to ABERDEEN and then lost 6-5 on penalties. As Hibernian picked up their first blank score sheet of the season after seven games, Aberdeen picked up their second.

We had one League game from the English League Two where MK DONS drew 1-1 away to Yeovil to pick up their 12th goal of the season.
