Here in Week Five of the competition we have had our first covid-19 casualty of the season and they are the new boys SUTTON UNITED. They were due to play Colchester away at the weekend but the game was cancelled and will be replayed later in the season, which is good news. Sutton have just one vote this season and they are on a total of 5 goals.
100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
With no midweek games this week due to the International games, the race for the cash has remained the same as last week. In the lead we have GEOFF CARTHY and RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion, both are on a total of 23 goals. In second place we have PETER PORTER on a total of 22 goals. In third place all with 19 goals we have RAYMOND HARROD, LUCIFER and BOB SAWYER. In fourth place we have TOBY BICKNELL, GUY DOWSETT (2), SCOTT THOMSON (1), EMMA SAWYER and BOB SOPER. All are on a total of 18 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had just seven of our teams in action this weekend which means that this weekend the average score went down from four last weekend to a flat zero this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was two goals and they came from CARLISLE UNITED. They won 2-1 at home to SALFORD CITY. Carlisle are on 6 goals while Salford picked up goal number 9. Carlisle United became our 59th voted English team and they first appeared in the 1986/87 Season where they finished on a total of 43 goals. Their highest score came in the 1996/97 Season with 81 goals. Last time out as back in the 2012/13 Season and they finished on a total of 63 goals. This is their seventh season with Golden Goals and over the years they have netted a total of 367 goals, which gives them an average score of 52 goals per season to date. This season they have just one vote.
LEAGUE ONE
Sunderland are top here this weekend as we only had one of our teams in action this weekend. They were OXFORD UNITED and they lost 3-1 away to AFC Wimbledon. Oxford are on a total of 10 goals and they remain in seventh place in the league.
LEAGUE TWO
The highest team that we have here are SWINDON and they remain in fourth place after they drew 1-1 away to STEVENAGE. After seven games that they have played in, Swindon are on 7 goals. Steveange picked up goal number 10. EXETER CITY drew 0-0 at home against Forest Green and that is their fifth blank of the season. SCUNTHORPE picked up their first third blank score sheet after they lost 2-0 away to Northampton.

Our worst team this week are EXETER CITY as they have picked up fifth blank score sheets out of seven games played.
Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are CELTIC who have now hit six goals twice. They first won 6-0 at home against Dundee in their second league game in Week One and again 6-0 at home in their third league game in Week Three.
ARSENAL beat West Brom 6-0 away and ASTON VILLA won 6-0 away to Barrow both picked up their highest results in the second round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Four.
With none of his teams in action this week, CHRIS BOLBERY is in his third consecutive weekend at the top and now four weeks out of the five already played. Chris’s teams are Bournemouth, Celtic and Sunderland. He is still two goals in front of second place Colin Webb has Fulham, Rangers and West Brom.
At the other end at 113 we have ZIGGY (John Nicholls) this weekend making him the third player to be there. Ziggy has Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.
