First Round of the Carabao Cup

 

In the first round of the league cup we had a total of twenty-three of our teams in action. Out of them only eleven have made it through to round two and some by the skin of their teeth. The teams that went through are BRADFORD CITY are through to the next round after they won 2-1 at home to Hull. Bradford are on 4 goals. LINCOLN CITY picked up their biggest score to date after they won 3-0 away to Doncaster. Lincoln are now on a total of 4 goals. STOCKPORT COUNTY won 1-0 away to Harrogate and they are on a total of four goals. DERBY won 2-1 away to MANSFIELD and they are on a total of 3 goals while Mansfield picked up their second. GILLINGHAM won 2-0 away to AFC WIMBLEDON and that takes their goals total up to 3 goals. Wimbledon picked up their 2nd blank of the season and now two in a row. CRAWLEY TOWN won 1-0 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS to pick up their first goal of the season. Rovers picked up their first blank of the season. FOREST GREEN ROVERS won 2-0 at home to Leyton Orient and they are now on a total of 5 goals. MK DONS won 1-0 at home to SUTTON UTD and that is their first goal of the season. Sutton picked up their first blank score sheet. CHARLTON drew 1-1 at home against QPR after the full 90 minutes of play and they then won 5-3 on penalties. Charlton are on a total of 4 goals. NORWICH drew 2-2 at home to Birmingham after 90 minutes and then they won 4-2 on penalties. OXFORD UTD drew 2-2 against SWANSEA after the 90 minutes, but they went on to win 5-3 on penalties. Oxford are on a total of 3 goals while Swansea are also on 3 goals. 

Teams that went out of the cup are SALFORD CITY as they lost 5-1 away to Bolton. Salford are on a total of 3 goals. HUDDERSFIELD lost 4-1 at home to Preston and they picked up their second goal of the season. IPSWICH lost 1-0 at home to Colchester and that is their first blank score sheet. LUTON lost 3-2 at home against Newport and they are on a total of 3 goals. SWINDON lost 2-0 away to Walsall and that is they have now failed to score in their first three games of the season. READING lost 2-1 at home to Stevenage and they are on a total of 3 goals.
