The Last Update Before Kick-off

 

The 2022 World Cup will be kicking off very soon where the host Nation Qatar, in Group A, start their World Cup campaign in the Al Bayt Stadium against Ecuador. Kick off at 7pm (4pm GMT) Sunday November 20. 

We here at Golden Goals have closed the book and we have a total of 43 people taking part in our ninth World Cup tournament. Out of the 32 nations taking part, we will have 22 nations which have been voted for. Below is the group draw with all the 32 nations taking part and the ones to look out for are in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS. 

These are the nations that we have. 

Group A: ECUADOR, HOLLAND, Qatar, SENEGAL 

Group B: ENGLAND, Iran, USA, WALES 

Group C: ARGENTINA, MEXICO, POLAND, SAUDI ARABIA 

Group D: Australia, FRANCE, DENMARK, TUNISIA 

Group E: Costa Rica, GERMANY, Japan, SPAIN 

Group F: BELGIUM, Canada, CROATIA, Morocco 

Group G: BRAZIL, CAMEROON, Serbia, SWITZERLAND 

Group H: Ghana, PORTUGAL, South Korea, URUGUAY 

The voting went down to just six nations really and here they are. In first place with a total of 31 votes is Brazil. In second place with 20 votes we have Argentina following them in third place we have France with19 votes. In fourth place all with 15 votes each we have Belgium, England and Holland. The next most voted nation with 14 votes is Germany. The host nation Qatar, have failed to win any votes.

We have four nations that have been in all of our nine Golden Goals World Cup competitions. They are Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Spain. Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Tunisia and Wales will all be making their first appearance with Golden Goals.
