Here we are with Week Thirty of the competition and we are half-way through the season half of the season. We had just one player to win the cash prize money of £5 this week. Our winner becomes our 28th winner of the season and it goes to our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with his second combination.
Tony started with us back in the 2010/11 Season on where he became Champion in his very first season with Golden Goals. He won on a score of 307 goals which leaves him in 22nd place in our Champions League. Last season he had three combo’s and it was his second one that finished in the winning frame in 23rd place with a total of 295 goals. His first combo finished in 69th place with 255 goals while his third finished in 64th place with 258 goals. He had just one weekend win worth £10. This season his second combo has done the best for him. It has only picked up two blank score sheets to date. His wining teams are

MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All but eight of us have managed to
pick up some midweek goals again this week with another
big change in the leading pack this week as we had another 24 players to reach
that half-way mark which now over half of us are now over the half way mark for
the £40 cash prize money. It was STEVE AYRES that picked
up the most goals with a total of 10 goals. Having all three of his teams in
action. They are Manchester City, Mansfield Town and Norwich.
Leading the race this week we now have JAMES BLYTH who moves up from third place now with a total of 73 goals. His teams are Ipswich, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday. In second place is last weeks leader COLIN WEBB now on a total of 72 goals. In third place with a total of 71 goals we have NICK HORTON rejoining the race. In fourth place this week we have (me) STEVE REEVE down from second place, CHRIS DICKER moves up from fifth place and TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion moving up from sixth place. All of us have a total of 70 goals. In fifth place both down from four we have FIONA CARHTY with a total of 69 goals. In sixth place all with a total of 68 goals we have CHRIS NUNN coming back in to the race.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
We had all but six of
our teams in action and out of the them 18 failed to score any goals. We once
again had a much better week for goals and especially the weekend as the
average score has remained at 5 goals this weekend. So if you did better than
that, well done.
The highest
result that we had came from League One
where SHEFFIELD
WEDNESDAY won 5-2 at home to MK DONS. Wednesday have taken their goals tally to 71
goals, while MK Dons are on a total of 43 goals.
Sheffield Wednesday became our 21st voted English team back in our very first season of 1983/84. In that season they finished on a total of 95 goals. Their best score came in the 1990/91 Season with 101 goals. It’s the only time that Wednesday have scored 100 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 81 goals. This is their 19th Season with Golden goals and over that time they have netted a total of 1459 goals. That gives them an average score of 76 goals per season. This season they have picked up just five blank score sheets and they have a total of 9 votes.
PREMIER LEAGUE
It’s all go here as ARSENAL moved back to the top of the table after they won 4-2 away to ASTON VILLA. Arsenal are now on a total of 55 goals while Villa are on 35 goals and a goal run of 12 games. MANCHESTER CITY are back in second place after they drew 1-1 away to Nottingham Forest. City picked up goal number 70. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in third place after they won 3-0 at home to LEICESTER CITY. United are now on a total of 61 goals and a goal run of 22 games. Leicester picked up their 9th blank of the season. TOTTENHAM have moved up to fourth place after they beat London rivals WEST HAM 2-0 at home. Tottenham are on a total of 48 goals and a goal run of six games. West Ham picked up their 10th blank of the season. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 1-1 away to Brentford and they are on a total of 24 goals. BRIGHTON lost 1-0 at home to FULHAM and that is their 6th blank score sheet after a goal run of nine games. Fulham hit goal number 41. CHELSEA lost 1-0 at home to Southampton and that is their 10th blank of the season and now just three goals in their last 8 games. It’s 20 goals for EVERTON as they win 1-0 at home to LEEDS UNITED. Leeds picked up their 19th blank score sheet and now two games in a row. BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 away to Wolves and they are on a total of 29 goals. NEWCASTLE lost 2-0 at home to LIVERPOOL. Newcastle have now had a total of eight blank score sheets while Liverpool are on a total of 44 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Top of the table BURNLEY won 1-0 away to LUTON and they have taken their goals
tally to 73 goals. Luton picked up their 9th blank of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place lost 3-2
away to Millwall. United are now on a total of 62 goals.
In the Play-Offs MIDDLESBROUGH are still in third place after they won 3-1 at home to QPR. Brough are now on a total of 57 goals and have now scored a total of 12 goals in their last four games. Luton are still in fourth place with SUNDERLAND now in fifth place after they drew again, 1-1 at home to Bristol City. Sunderland are on a total of 52 goals and a goal run of 16 games.
Meanwhile SWANSEA lost 1-0 away to Blackburn and that is their 9th blank of the season. HUDDERSFIELD won 2-1 at home to Birmingham and are on a total of 32 goals after a two game dry spell for goals. NORWICH drew 0-0 away to Wigan and that is their 10th blank of the season.
LEAGUE ONE

too as Sheffield Wednesday have
moved to the top on goal difference after their win. PLYMOUTH have dropped down to second place after they drew 0-0 at
home to Fleetwood. Plymouth have picked up their 6th blank score
sheet.
In the Play-Offs we still have IPSWICH in third place as they won 4-0
at home to FOREST GREEN ROVERS.
Ipswich have taken their goals tally to 72 goals. Rovers picked up their 14th
blank and now two games in a row without a goal. In fact they have scored just
two goals in their last six games and bottom of the league. DERBY are still in fifth place after they won 2-0 at home to CHARLTON. Derby are on a total of 65
goals while Charlton picked up their 8th blank score sheet.
Meanwhile BRISTOL ROVERS lost 2-1 at home to Burton and they are on a total of 45 goals after a dry run of three games. OXFORD UNITED picked up their 13th blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 away to Cambridge Utd. LINCOLN CITY drew 0-0 at home to Portsmouth and that is their 13th blank of the season. After they had failed to score in their last two games, PETERBOROUGH won 3-0 away to Morecambe. Borough are now on a total of 54 goals.
LEAGUE TWO
The highest teams that
we have in this league are all in the Play-Offs.
They are MANSFIELD TOWN now in fifth
place after they won 2-0 away to Tranmere. Mansfield are now on a total of 52
goals and a goal run of 10 games. STOCKPORT
COUNTY are up to sixth place after they won 2-0 at home to Stevenage.
Stockport have taken their goals tally to 57. SALFORD CITY are down to seventh place after they lost 2-1 at home
against SWINDON. Salford hit goal
number 42 while Swindon are now on 40 goals.
Meanwhile AFC WIMBELDON drew 2-2 at home to Hartlepool and after picking up just one goal in their last six games, Wimbledon are now on a total of 36 goals. BRADFORD CITY lost 1-0 at home to Barrow and that is their 11th blank of the season. CRAWLEY TOWN lost 1-0 to top of the table Leyton Orient at home. Cralwey are second from bottom and it was their 10th blank of the season. GILLINGHAM won 2-0 away to Rochdale and they are on a total of 28 goals. SUTTON UNITED won 2-0 at home to Doncaster and they are on a total of 34 goals.
SCOTTISH LEAGUE
RESULTS
In the Premiership
Champions CELTIC won 4-0 at home to ABERDEEN. Celtic become our
first team in our 40th Season to hit 100 once again as they have
taken their goals tally up to 102 goals. Celtic have now scored in all of their
last 23 games. Aberdeen picked up their 8th blank of the season.
Second place RANGERS won 3-0 away to Livingston and are on a total of 71
goals and a goal run of 24 games. HEARTS in third place lost 2-0 away to
Motherwell. Hearts have now had a total of nine blank score sheets. HIBERNIAN
won 2-0 at home to Kilmarnock and have taken their goals total of 49.
In League One
ALLOA lost 1-0 away to Falkirk and they have now had a total of eight
blank score sheets. KELTY HEARTS won 3-0 at home to Queen of South and
they are now on a total of 33 goals.
In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-0 at home against Albion and they are on a total of 52 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 24 games.

Our highest
goal scorers in our 40th Season are CELTIC who won
9-0 away to Dundee Utd in the league and LIVERPOOL who won 9-0 at home to Bournemouth in the
league both from Week Five.
Our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY
with combo two, has remained at the top for his 17th consecutive weekend.
Tony picked up a total of 17 goals this week from Arsenal, Celtic and Sheffield
Wednesday and he is now 7 goals in front.
Grant Phillips is back in second place this weekend. Grant picked up a
total of 14 goals from his combination of Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham.
At the other end at 108 we still have
MANDY WRIGHT
as she picked up just 3 goals for the week. Mandy’s teams are Bournemouth, Swansea
and West Ham. Mandy has now been here for a total of 14 weeks throughout the
season.
Once again this week we have a slight change in the top ten.
