100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us picked up some goals in midweek and the race for the cash has changed slightly this week. The player that picked up the most amount of goals was STUART KEMP (2) with a total of 7 goals. He has Barnsley, Liverpool and Tottenham. So the leaders have changed with BAILEY MORAN remaining there with ANDY EYLES moving up from third place. Both have a total of 30 goals. In second place we still have CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) but with him now is our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS down from one and our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY moving up from fifth place. All are on a total of 28 goals. In third place we have JAMES SOMERVILLE up from four and PETER PORTER up from fifth place. Both have a total of 27 goals. In fourth place with 25 goals we have back in MARK GREGORY. In fifth place we still have MARK JOHNSTON and TONY KING and now joining them we have JAMES BLYTH and ANN WELLARD. All with a total of 24 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Even though we had bad weather again around the UK this weekend we had a near full league fixture. We had just three teams that had no game this weekend and out of the ones that did play, 14 of them failed to score any goals. We all managed to pick up some goals this weekend as the average score fell from seven goals last weekend to 6 goals this weekend, which is still really good. So if you received more than that from your teams, well done.

The highest score that we had this weekend was 5 goals and they came the the Premier League where ARSENAL won 5-0 at home to bottom of the table Sheffield United. With their biggest result of the season, Arsenal have taken their goals total to 24 and they have now scored in all of their 11 league/cup games.

Arsenal became our 28th voted team in our second season of 1984/85. In that season they finished with a total of 75 goals. Their highest end of season score came in the 2002/03 Season with 103 goals. Last season they finished with 92 goals. This is their 39th season with Golden Goals and over the years they have now netted a total of 3167 goals. That gives them an average score of 81 goals per season. Here are the rest of the weekend results.
