Week Twelve

In Week Twelve of the competition we have had our second Rollover of the season worth a total of £10. That went to just one player which means that we have now had a total of fourteen winners. The full £10 went to our fourth lady winner BARBARA BARNES with her second combination.

Barbara started with Golden Goals way back in our 2000/01 Season. In her very first season, Barbara finished in 85th place out of 102 entries with a total of 232 goals. Last season Barbara finished in 68th place with her first combo with 254 goals and her second combo finished in 72nd place with 251 goals. Barbara also picked up two weekend wins. This season this is the highest that her second combination has been and she has picked up just two blank score sheets. This is the second weekend that Barbara has scored 12 goals. Her first was in Week Eight. Here are our winners teams

                                    CHARLTON 4, NEWCASTLE 4, RANGERS 4

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

No one picked up any goals in midweek because the games that we did have playing was cancelled due to the bad weather. So the leaders have remained the same once again.

We have two out in front with BAILEY MORAN and our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS both with a total of 28 goals. In second place we have CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) with a total of 27 goals. In third place we have ANDY EYLES with a total of 26 goals. In fourth place with 25 goals we have JAMES SOMERVILLE. In fifth place we have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY, MARK JOHNSTON, TONY KING and PETER PORTER. All with a total of 23 goals. In sixth place we have GEOFF CARTHY and RICHIE WILLIAMS both are on a total of 22 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Due to the bad weather up in the north of the UK, we had a near full league fixture with most of our teams in action over the weekend. Seven of our teams had no game this weekend and out of the ones that did play, 8 of them failed to score any goals. We all managed to pick up some goals this weekend as the average score came to a fantastic total of 7 goals. The reason for such a high average score is that six of our teams picked up four goals each. Here are the results of all of our teams that did manage to play this weekend.
