Carabao/League Cup 3rd Round

 

In the Carabao/League Cup 3rd Round games, we had another 7 of our teams in action. Out of them only 3 are through to the next round.

Teams that are through to the next round are ARSENAL who have scored their highest amount of goals, as they win 4-2 away to IPSWICH TOWN. Arsenal have taken their goals tally up to 12 goals and they have now scored in all of their 5 league/cup games. Ipswich are on a total of 12 goals. LIVERPOOL won 3-1 at home against TOTTENHAM and they are now on a total of 9 goals. Tottenham, who had failed to score in their last three games, are on a total of 6 goals. BRENTFORD won 2-1 away to READING and are on a total of 15 goals and have now scored in all of their 6 league/cup games. Reading picked up goal number 17 and they have now scored in all fo their last 5 league/cup games. The only other team that went out was WEST HAM UNITED who lost to London rivals Fulham 3-2 at home. West Ham are on a total of 29 goals and have extended their goal run to 10 league/cup games. 

In the Championship, BRITOIL CITY after a goal run of 5 league/cup games, they picked up their third blank of the season after they lost 1-0 at home to Lincoln City. MIDDLESBROUGH drew 2-2 at home to MIllwall and are on a total of 18 goals. 

In the Scottish Premiership, HEARTS have lost their second league game 2-1 away to Falkirk. Hearts are on a total of  22 goals and have now scored in all of their 8 league/cup games. After they had scored in all of their first 7 league/cup games, HIBERNIAN picked up their first blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 at home to Kilmarnock. ABERDEEN had failed to score in their last three games, won 4-0 away to Motherwell. Aberdeen have taken their goals tally to 20 goals.

In the Championship, STENHOUSEMUIR won 1-0 at home against PARTICK and are on a total of 17 goals. Partick picked up their third blank of the season.
