We still have
any of our top six people that all could be our next champion of Golden
Goals. But once again, Mike Adkins has remained top again this
weekend and has now completed his eighth weekend at the top. Mike picked up a
total of eight goals this week from his combination of Arsenal, Man City and Rangers.
Paul Davey has moved
back into second place but because
of the weekend goals, Paul stay’s second. Paul has already spent one weekend at
the top and his combination did well this week. Paul picked up a total of
eleven goals for the week with Man City, Rangers and Wolves.
In the 103 spot we still have Malcolm Cormack who has now been there for seven weeks, and now
eight over the season. Malcolm picked up just two goals from his teams of Charlton,
Portsmouth and Swindon. Above him in 102 we still have
keamus Setna our 2005/06 Champion. Keamus
picked up six goals from his combination of Arsenal, Bolton and Doncaster and is now nineteen goals in front of Malcolm.
Rangers
still have that 100% scoring record as they have now stretched their total to thirty-four games, as they win 2-0 at
home to Dunfermline. Rangers become our second team of the season to pick up
100 goals.
After a great
midweek results it all went wrong at the weekend for our teams in Golden
Goals. It was Stenhousemuir that scored the highest amount of goals with four as they win 4-2 at home
to Brechin. Stenhousemuir are now on 57 goals.
In the Premiership,
Four out of our ten premiership teams failed to pick up any goals this weekend
and that is also why we had a bad weekend for goals. Chelsea are still top here but they
lost 1-0 away to Aston Villa. Chelsea picked up their 7th blank of the season while Villa picked up goal
number 36. Liverpool are second as they win 3-0 away to Manchester
UTD. Liverpool are now on 85 goals and still our third
best team. They have now scored in all of their last twenty-two games. United
picked up blank number six. Arsenal are third as they win just 1-0 away to Tottenham
to pick up goal 66 while Tottenham picked up their 10th
blank and now two games in a row. Tottenham have now scored just one goal in
their last four games. Manchester City are now on 106 goals as they win 2-0 away to Hull. Everton are on 56 goals as they win
2-1 at home to Cardiff. Crystal Palace drew 0-0 away to Sunderland to pick up their 15th blank and now two games
in a row. Swansea lost 2-1 at home against West Brom and are now on 44 goals.
The three
best teams to date in Golden Goals are Man City wth 106 goals followed by Rangers now on 100. Liverpool are still
third with 85 goals.
Crystal
Palace are still our worst team to date with a total of just 23
goals.
