WEEK THIRTY

We are ¾ of the way through this season and we have the top six people that all could be our next champion. But once again, Mike Adkins has remained top again this weekend and has now completed his sixth weekend at the top. Mike picked up a total of six goals this week from his combination of Arsenal, Man City and Rangers.
Paul Hudson has moved back into second place but he is now just one goal behind Mike. Paul has already spent thirteen weekends at the top and his combination did well this week. Paul picked up a total of ten goals for the week with Man City, Rangers and Watford.
In the 103 spot we still have Malcolm Cormack who has now been there for five weeks, six over the season. Malcolm picked up five goals from his teams of Charlton, Portsmouth and Swindon. Above him in 102 we still have John Dove. John picked up four goals from his combination of Arsenal, Bolton and Doncaster and is now ten goals in front of Malcolm.
Rangers still have that 100% scoring record as they have now stretched their total to thirty-one games, as they win just 1-0 away to East Fife.
What a crazy weekend we had for goals with our teams in Golden Goals. We had two team that scored the highest amount of goals with five each and they were Celtic and Bournemouth. Celtic won 5-0 at home to Inverness to take their goals tally to 76 and they have now scored in all of their last 24 games.
Bournemouth won 5-0 at home to Doncaster and are now on 47 goals. Doncaster picked up their 15th blank score sheet of the season and now two games in a row.
Congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Capital One Cup as they beat Sunderland 3-1 in the final. They are now on a total of 103 goals and are on target to beat their second highest end of season score of 105 back in our 2011/12 Season.
In the Premiership, Chelsea are still top as they win 3-1 away to Fulham and they are now on a total of 60 goals while Liverpool in second place won 3-0 away to Southampton to take their goals tally to 82 and are still our third best team of the season to date. Arsenal lost 1-0 away to Stoke to pick up their 5th blank score sheet of the season. After failling to score in their last three games, Aston Villa won 4-1 at home to Newcastle and are now on 35 goals. Tottenham are on 44 goals as they win 1-0 at home to Cardiff. Everton picked up their 53rd goal of the season as they win 1-0 at home to West Ham.
Leicester City are top of the Championship as they win 3-0 at home to Charlton. City are on 77 golas and they have now scored in all of their last twenty games. Charlton picked up their 13th blank score sheet. QPR drew 1-1 at home to Leeds Utd and are on 40 goals while Leeds are on 49.
Wolves are top of League One as they win 3- at home to Port Vale. Wolves are now on 59 goals.
The three best teams to date in Golden Goals are Man City wth 103 goals followed by Rangers now on 94. Liverpool are third with 82 goals.
Crystal Palace are still our worst team to date as they drew 1-1 away to Swansea over the weekend. Palace are now on 23 goals. Swansea hit goal number 43.
We have just one past Golden Goals Champion in the top twenty-five and they are Geoff Dockerill who won back in our 1994/95 Season. Geoff has Celtic, Man City and QPR and picked up a total of ten goals for the week. Alice Stubbs moved out of the top ten after picking up six goals from her combination of Chelsea, Man City and Man UTD.
Last night Portsmouth drew 0-0 away to Chesterfield and that gave them their 11th blank score sheet of the season out of 36 games played this season.
Well how are our teams shaping up to the past season’s with Golden Goals? Are they doing better or worst. This is what we are going to find out over the next couple of weeks so keep looking out for your teams.
