RICHARD WILLIAMS has remained top this weekend and this
is now his ninth weekend at the top.
Richard’s combination picked him up a total of four goals over the weekend.
They came from Hibernian 2, Manchester City and Rangers each picking
up a single goal. SIMON DICKINSON
finds himself still three goals behind Richard. Simon.s teams also picked him up
four goals for the week from Celtic, Manchester City and Portsmouth.
At the other end, it’s still STEPTOE & SON at number 119 for his
sixth weekend as his combination picked him up eight goals for the week. His teams are Queens Park, Queens Park Rangers and Queen of the South.
100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Only
sixteen of you failed to pick up some more midweek goals this week but we had another
five players to reach that magic score 50 or more goals bringing the total up to
70 this week.
The highest
score this week was a total of eight goals and they all went to PETER MURPHY. Pete picked up his goals from Charlton
one Manchester United three and Southend four goals from their two games played
this week. He now has a total of 46 midweek goals.
So this is
how the race to £40 is looking this week. DANIEL
GOODSON moves out in front this week as he picks up three goals from just
one of his teams. That team was
Middlesbrough which brings his total to 70 goals. Daniel’s other two teams are
Manchester city and Rangers. In joint second place this week are JOHN DAVIES, and JAMES HUNTER who were joint leaders last week with CRAIG EVANS still in second place and ADRIAN BEW up from three. All four are
on 67 goals. In third place down from two is DAVE WESTON now on 65 goals while in fourth place both on 64 goals
we have MARK UNSTEAD with JAMES WISE both down from three last
week.
This weekend we had our 41st winner of the season
as our third lady to do so as SANDRA NICHOLLS wins on a total of 7 goals. Sandra
started with Golden Goals back in our 2007/08 Season where she finished in
42nd place on 250 goals and she has been with us ever since. Last
season Sandra finished in 101 with a total of 214 goals. This season she has picked up three blank score sheets and
101 is the best that she has done so far this season. Sandra’s best team is
Chelsea netting her 57 of her total of 153 goals.
ARSENAL 2,
CHELSEA 2, MANCHESTER UNITED 3
After a
promising start to the week from the midweek results, the weekend failed to
carry that on. So once again our average score remained at 4 goals for a third
weekend running. We had a total of eight teams that had no game and another
six that failed to score any goals which is not all that really bad for us. But
it was a very low scoring weekend with three being the highest score and we had
six teams that picked them up.
Capital One Cup Final
We had both of the teams in the first trophy of the season. LIVERPOOL
with a total of four votes took on MANCHESTER CITY with fifty-two.
Manchester City scored first in this premiership final after the start of the
second half. Liverpool came back with the equaliser in the 83rd
minute of normal time. This is how it remained in normal time and it also
remained 1-1 after extra time. In the penalty shoot-out, Manchester city won
3-1. So the first piece of silver ware goes to Manchester City and the goals
takes them up to a total of 74 goals. Liverpool’s goal gives them a total of
54.
With the Cup final being played, only seven of our
premiership teams played. TOTTENHAM
are in second place after Leicester City as they win 2-1 at home to Swansea.
Tottenham are now on 58 goals. ARSENAL drop
down to third place as they lost 3-2 away to MANCHESTER UNITED. Arsenal are now on 50 goals while United take

of our teams in the play-off zone this weekend and they are MILLWALL still in fifth place. They Drew
1-1 away to Doncaster and that gives them goal number 57. BLACKPOOL lost 1-0 at home to Bradford and that was their 16th blank of the season while CHESTERFIELD are on 50 goals as they
