RICHARD WILLIAMS has moved back to the top this
weekend and this is now his eighth weekend at the top. Richard’s combination picked him up a total
of eight goals over the week. Five came from the weekend from Hibernian,
Manchester City and Rangers. SIMON
DICKINSON who had just one weekend at the top now finds himself three goals
behind Richard. Simon's teams picked him up five goals all from the weekend from
Celtic, Manchester City and Portsmouth.
At the other end, it’s still STEPTOE & SON at number 119 for his
fifth weekend as his combination picked him up just two goals at the weekend once
again. They came from Queens Park Rangers and Queens Park with a goal each
while Queen of the South failed to score
at the weekend.
There was twenty-six
of you that picked up some more midweek goals this week and out of them another
three players reached that magic score 50 or more goals bringing the total up to
65 this week. The highest
score this week was a total of five goals and they went to STEVE CADWELL. Steve picked up his goals from Berwick
with three and Rangers with two goals. Leyton Orient is his third team. He now has a total of 42
midweek goals.
So this is
how the race to £40 is looking this week. We have three players that are still in
joint leadership this week. They are JOHN
DAVIES, DANIEL GOODSON and JAMES HUNTER who are all on a total of
67 goals. Still in second place we have CRAIG
EVANS and DAVE WESTON. Both are

BOLBERY down from fourth place and TONY
KING comes back in.
CARDIFF 4,
CELTIC 3, CHELSEA 5
We have had
a fairly good weekend of football as our average score remained at 4 goals for
a second weekend. Even though we had eleven teams that had now game and another
twelve teams that failed to score any goals.
We had the
fifth round of the FA Cup and this
is where the highest score came from. In fact we had two teams that picked up
the weekends highest score with five goals each and they were both London
teams. First up is WEST HAM as they
beat Blackburn 5-1 away. This is West ham’s highest score this season and they
are now on a total of 49 goals. West Ham
was our 7th most voted team from our very first season of 1983/84
where they finished on a total of 79 goals.
Their
highest score came in our 1989/90 Season with 91 goals. Last season they picked
up a total of 89 goals. This is their 26th Season with Golden
Goals and over the seasons they have netted a total of 1670 goals which
gives them an average score of 64 goals per season to date.
CHELSEA won 5-1 at

a total of 98 goals. They were our 24th most voted team in 1983/84
and they have been in every season since then. Their highest score came in
2009/10 with 128 goals. Last season they picked up a total of 89 goals. Over
the seasons they have now scored a total of 2667 goals which gives them an
average score of 80 goals per season to date.
We had nine of our teams in cup action over the weekend and
out of them only four have made it through to the next round. We already know
that Chelsea and West Ham have made it through with them big scores and that

round. But Arsenal meanwhile picked up their 9th blank score sheet

goal.
