RICHARD WILLIAMS has stayed at the top for four weeks now as his combination
picked him up a total of six goals over the week. Three came from midweek with
another three at the weekend. They came from Hibernian 2, Manchester City 1 and
Rangers 1. Richard has now been top for a total of seven weeks as he was also top
for three consecutive weeks from week fourteen to sixteen. Richard is still four
goal clear of SIMON DICKINSON who also picked up a total of six goals for the
week. His teams are Celtic,
Manchester City and Portsmouth. Both are the first players to score over 200
goals this season to date.
At the other end, it’s still STEPTOE & SON at number 119 for a third
weekend as his combination picked him up just one goal at the weekend from
Queens Park Rangers. Queens Park and
Queen of the South both failed to score at the weekend.
We had
another thirteen players to score 50 or more goals this week bringing the total
up to 58.
The highest
score this week was a total of seven goals again and they went to BRUCE SELF. Bruce picked up his goals from Celtic
one and three each from Manchester City and Tottenham. He now has a total of 45
midweek goals.
So this is
how the race to £40 is looking this week. In the lead this week we have JAMES HUNTER who moves up from second
place with a total of 65 goals. His goals came from Manchester City, Rangers
and Wolves. He was one of the lucky ones to have all three teams in midweek
action. Down to second place all on 64 goals we have JOHN DAVIES and DANIEL
GOODSON both down from first place and DAVE
WESTON moves up one to join them. In third place up from four last week is MARK UNSTEAD, now on 63 goals while in
fourth place down from three is ADRIAN
BEW on 62 goals. In joint fifth place both on 61 goals we have CHRIS BOLBERY and JAMES WISE both down from four place. In sixth place all on 60

2004/05 Season and he then finished in 31st place on 273 goals.
Robert is in his 10th Season with us and in last seasons table, he
finished in 60th place on 250 goals. This season he has had just one

This
weekend has carried on from midweek, not many goals flying around at the moment.
The average score fell from five of last weekend to just 3 goals this weekend. Although
we had eight teams that had their games cancelled due to the weather once
again, twenty failed to score any goals.
The highest
score that we had this weekend came from the Scottish premiership where ABERDEEN
won 4-3 away to St Johnstone. The goals keep Aberdeen in second place in the
table and they are now on a total of 44 goals. Aberdeen are our very first
voted Scottish team in our first season of 1983/84 where they finished on their
highest score of 112 goals. They remained with Golden Goals for fifteen
consecutive seasons before they fell out of favour. They came back with us in
the 2013/14 Season where they finished on a total of 69 goals. This is their 17th

We had four
of our Scottish teams in the Fifth Round of the WILLIAM HILL CUP and out of them only one had made it through so
far. That team is CELTIC who beat
non-league East Kilbridge 2-0 away. Celtic are on 74 goals and catching up on RANGERS who drew 0-0 at home to
Kilmarnock. Rangers have then picked up their very first blank of the season
