Great Night for Golden Goals


In the English Championship, CARDIFF won 2-0 at home against BOLTON. Cardiff are now on a total of 54 goals while Bolton picked up their thirteenth blank of the season.

In League One, WIGAN have dropped down to second place here as they lost 2-0 at home to Blackpool to pick up their sixth blank score sheet. SOUTHEND drew 0-0 away to Bury and that is their tenth blank of the season. CHARLTON drew 1-1 at home to BRADFORD to pick up goal number 48 while Bradford hit goal number 55.  FLEETWOOD lost 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury and that takes their goal tally to 49. MK DONS picked up another blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Oldham. The Dons have now had a total of eleven blank score sheets and now just two goals in their last six games. PETERBOROUGH have taken their goals tally to 66 as they drew 2-2 at home against SCUNTHORPE who are now on 52 goals. PLYMOUTH have picked up another four goals in their 4-2 home win against AFC Wimbledon. Plymouth are now on a total of 43 goals and they have now scored in all of their last fourteen games. BLACKBURN won 2-1 away to PORTSMOUTH and they are now on a total of 68 goals while Portsmouth picked up goal number 40. DONCASTER lost 4-2 away to Walsall and they are now on a total of 53 goals.

In League Two, COLCHESTER are now on 46 goals as they win 2-1 at home to COVENTRY who are now on 45 goals. FOREST GREEN won 3-1 at home to Stevenage and they are now on a total of 41 goals. LINCOLN CITY beat Cheltenham 1-0 at home to pick up goal number 45. LUTON won 4-1 at home to Crawley and that takes their goals tally up to 79 goals. MANSFIELD have scored their highest result of the season as they win 5-0 at home to Newport County. Mansfield are now on a total of 58 goals.
