In Week Twenty-Eight of the competition and we have had a total of four winners which we have not
had since Week One. Out of the four winners, two are first time winners which

Jackpot of £6 on a score of 11 goals each. This weekends winners are BARBARA BARNES (1),
CORRINE MULLINS, BOB SOPER and MALCOLM STUBBS.

WEEKEND
RESULTS
We had a great week with
our teams this week but I am surprised that the weekends average score of 5
goals is not higher as most of you have Celtic and Manchester City as part of
your combinations.
We had six of our teams
with out a game this weekend and another nine teams that failed to score any
goals but it was a high scoring weekend.
The highest score that
we had came from the Scottish WILLIAM
HILL CUP Fifth Round games where RANGERS
won 6-1 away to Ayr after going a goal down in the first eleven minutes of the
first half. Rangers are now on a total of 66 goals.
Rangers was our fourth
most voted Scottish team in our first season of 1983/84. In that season they
finished on a score of 97 goals. In the 1992/93 Season they finished on their
highest score of 126 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 86 goals.
This is their 34th Season with Golden Goals as they missed out on
our 1985/86 Season as no-one voted for them. Over the seasons they have scored
a total of 3284 goals which gives them an average score of 96 goals per season.
They have just nine votes this season.
PREMIERSHIP
Champions MANCHESTER CITY won 5-1 at home to LEICESTER
CITY which take their goals tally to 93 and they are well on their way to
another 100 goals. City have now scored in all of their last ten games.

UNITED who lost 1-0 away to NEWCASTLE. That was United’s
fifth blank of the season and now just two goals in their last three games.

still LIVERPOOL who won 2-0 away to Southampton to take their goals
total to 65. TOTTENHAM are now in fourth place after they beat north
