Week Twenty-Seven

In Week Twenty-Seven of the competition we had our sixth player to of won twice this season and it goes to ALICE STUBBS on a score of  12 goals to pick up the full weekend jackpot of £6. With her highest score of the season,  Alice last won in Week One where she had to share the cash. Since then She has picked up a total of three blank score sheets and Celtic is her best team. This is the highest that Alice has been since the start of the Christmas period. Her teams are once again

BRENTFORD 5, CELTIC 2, CHELSEA 5

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All but one of us managed to pick up some goals in midweek this week. The highest score that we had was with eight goals and they all went to two of our ladies SARAH MARSHALL again and EMMA SAWYER. Sarah has Aberdeen, Celtic and Manchester United while Emma has Celtic, Fulham and MK Dons.
So the race for the cash has a slight change this week. Last week we had eighty-seven players with 50 or more midweek goals and this week it has moved up to 101 which means we are all nearly half way..
GRAHAM HARRIS has moved back out in front this week as he picks up a total of four goals from Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. Graham is now on a total of 83 goals. JUNE TIGHE has dropped down to second place this week and is one goal behind Graham with 82 goals. June has Derby, Manchester City and Tottenham. In third place down from two is  JAMIE WOOD with 78 goals. In joint fourth place with a total of 76 goals we still have KAREN SMITH but she is now joined with ANN WELLARD down from three. In fifth place both on 75 goals we still have MICHAEL FISHER with DANNY HARRINGTON down from three.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend the average score fell down again from six goals from last weekend to just 5 goals this weekend. We had just one player that failed to pick up any goals this week. The reason for the low score this weekend is that we had nine teams without a game over the weekend and we then had another fifteen teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had came from tow of our teams with five goals each and they came from the Premiership where CHELSEA won 5-0 at home to Huddersfield. With their biggest result of the season, Chelsea are now on a total of 58 goals.
Chelsea are our twenty-fourth voted team in our very first season of 1983/84. They finished on a total of 98 goals. They have a 100% record with Golden Goals which means that they have been in every season to date. Their highest score came in the 2009/10 Season with 128 goals which is our fourth best top score. Last season they scored a total of 85 goals. Over the years they have scored a total of 2922 goals which gives them an average score of 81 goals per season to date. They have nine votes this season.
In the Championship, BRENTFORD after going 2-0 down, won 5-2 at home to BLACKBURN. Brentford are also on a total of 58 goals. Blackburn have taken their goals total up to 56.
