In Week Thirty-Nine of the competition and we had our very last
weekend to win some cash for this season. We had a Rollover Jackpot worth £12
in cash for our last winner who was JOHN WOOD’S “Lucifer” combination. John won a on a total of 8
goals.
This is John third win of the
season and he last won back in Week Thirty-Six with a shared win. John becomes
the second player to win three times this season and has won over £18 in cash.
John’s Lucifer combination has picked up just two blank score sheets to date
and 60th place is still his highest from Week Two. His teams are for the last time

We have
four players that have now reached 100 Midweek goals this week. GRAHAM HARRIS is now on a total of 107
goals after he picked up another goal from Tottenham. His combination is Hearts,
Tottenham and West Brom. Graham is still a long way off of beating our record held
by Daryl Nicholls with 136 goals from
the 2016/17 Season? John Davies is still
in second place with 105 goals but he is now joined with Adam Sansom up from four. Kellie Stratton is still in
third place now with 102 goals. In fourth place up from five with 99 goals is June Tighe. In fifth place on 98 goals
we have Toby Bicknell and in sixth
place Phill Collins with 97 goals.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
We had all
but three of our teams in action over weekend with thirteen of them failing to
score any goals. The weekends average score went up from two goals from last
weekend to just 3 goals this week. The highest score that we had was five goals
and they came from the League One
where ACCRINGTON
STANLEY won 5-1 at home against PLYMOUTH.
Accrington with their highest score of the season have taken their goals total
up to 56. Plymouth picked up goal number 58.
Accrington are in their third season with Golden Goals and they became our 102nd English team
to join us. They first started in the 2006/07 Season and scored a total of 71
goals which is their highest to date. Last time out was in the 2016/17 Season
and finished on a total of 67 goals. Over the three seasons they have scored a
total of 194 goals which gives them an average score of 64 goals per season.
They have just one vote this season.
PREMIERSHIP
We are back to the top nine teams here this weekend with MANCHESTER
CITY holding on to top place after they won 1-0 away to Burnley. City are still our top scoring team with
126 goals. They have now scored in all of their last eleven games. Liverpool
are down to in second place and one point behind Manchester City. TOTTENHAM have
remained in third place as they as they pick up their sixth blank of the season
after they were beaten 1-0 at home against WEST HAM. West Ham picked up goal number 61. CHELSEA are now in
fourth place after they drew 1-1 away to MANCHESTER UNITED in
sixth place. Chelsea are now on a total of 73 goals to United’s total of 74. ARSENAL
are down to fifth place after they lost 3-0 away to LEICESTER CITY in
eight place. As Arsenal picked up their fifth blank of the season,
Leicester have taken their goals tally to 57 goals. WOLVES are up to
seventh place after they won 2-1 away to Watford and they are now on a total of
60 goals. EVERTON are down to ninth place after they drew 0-0 away to
Crystal Palace to pick up their tenth blank of the season. It’s 40 goals for FULHAM
after they won 1-0 at home to Cardiff. BOURNEMOUTH
drew 3-3 away to Southampton and they are now on 61 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
With Norwich top and Sheffield United in second place, both
teams have now been promoted to the Prem for next season.
In the Play-off Zone, we have all four teams now. LEEDS
UNITED are in third place after they drew 1-1 at home against ASTON VILLA
in fifth place. Leeds take their goals total to 74 while Villa are on 81. WEST
BROM are in fourth place as they win 2-1 at home to ROTHERHAM. West Brom
are now on 91 goals while Rotherham picked up goal number 54 and they have now
scored in all of their last nine games. In sixth place is DERBY who won
2-0 away to Bristol City. Derby are now on 81 goals
Meanwhile BIRMINGHAM drew 1-1 at home to Wigan and
that is goal number 64 for them. STOKE drew 0-0 away to Millwall and
that is their seventeenth blank of the season. BLACKBURN lost 2-1 away to leaders
Norwich and that is goal 76 for Blackburn. NOTTINGHAM FOREST are on 69
goals as they win 1-0 away to QPR. SWANSEA drew 2-2 at home to HULL and
they are now on 75 goals while Hull are on 67. Relegated IPSWICH lost
2-0 away to Sheffield United and that is their twenty-first blank of the season
and now three blanks in a row.
LEAGUE ONE
LUTON are still on top after they lost
2-1 away to BURTON ALBION. Luton are now on a total of 90 goals while Burton
are now on 75 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. BARNSLEY
are still in second place after they won 2-1 at home against Blackpool. Barnsley
are on 88 goals and a goal run of seven games.
In the Play-off Zone we have three of the four teams here.
PORTSMOUTH are in third place as they drew 1-1 with SUNDERLAND in
fourth place. Portsmouth are on 88 goals and a goal run of ten games while
Sunderland are on 81 and a goal run of eight games. CHARLTON are in
fifth place after they won 2-0 away to Gillingham to take their goals total up
to 75 and a goal run of seven games.
Meanwhile COVENTRY drew 1-1 at home to SHREWSBURY and
they are now on 56 goals to Shrewsbury’s 65. It’s 60 goals for WYCOMBE
but they lost 2-1 away to AFC Wimbledon. BRISTOL ROVERS picked up their
eigteenth blank of the season and now two in a row as they drew 0-0 away to
Fleetwood. ROCHDALE are on 59 goals and a goal run of eight games, as
they win 1-0 at home to SOUTHEND who picked up their fifteenth blank of
the season. After a three game dry spell for goals, SCUNTHORPE are now
on 54 goals after they lost 3-2 at home to Bradford. PETERBOROUGH lost
3-0 away to Walsall and that is their twelfth blank of the season.
LEAGUE TWO
Promoted LINCOLN CITY lost yet again 1-0 away to New Port.
Lincoln have now failed to score in their last three games. MANSFIELD are
in third place after they lost 2-1 at home to Stevenage to pick up goal number
77.
In the Play-off Zone we have two teams of the four. They are MK
DONS in third place as they lost 2-0 away to Colchester to pick up their
seventh blank of the season. EXETER in seventh place won 1-0 at home to OLDHAM.
Exeter are now on 63 goals while Oldham picked up their twelfth blank score
sheet.
Meanwhile SWINDON lost 3-2 away to Cheltenham and they
are now on a total of 58 goals. It’s 50 goals for NOTTS COUNTY as they
win 2-1 at home against Grimsby.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the
Scottish Premiership, Champions CELTIC won 1-0 at home against
Kilmarnock to take their goals total to 93 goals. RANGERS
are still second and they are our highest Scottish scorer’s as they win 2-0 at
home to ABERDEEN in third place. Rangers
are now on 94 goals while Aberdeen picked up their eleventh blank score sheet. It’s
60 goals for HIBERNIAN who drew 1-1
at home to HEARTS. Hearts are now on
69 goals. HAMILTON drew 3-3 at home
to Livingston and they are now on 30 goals.
In the Championship, Ross County are promoted at the top after their win of Friday
night. ALLOA lost 2-1 at home to Inverness CT and they
are now on 51 goals. AYR UNITED won
2-1 away to Partick and they are now on 67 goals. Bottom of the table FALKIRK lost 2-0 away to Dundee Utd and
that is their fourteenth blank of the season and now two games in a row.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are still in third place after they won 3-2 at home to
Brechin. Raith are on 83 goals and have now scored in all of their last eleven
games. DUMBARTON won 2-1 at home to
Stranraer and they are now on 62 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR
drew 1-1 at home to East Fife and that is their 44th goal of the
season.
In League Two, PETERHEAD are still top after they drew 1-1 at home against
Stirling. Peterhead take their goals tally up to 67 goals.

Our Best
teams this week are ASTON VILLA after they
have scored in all of their last twelve League and Cup games
played. They have a total of 81 goals from forty-eight games which gives them
a average score of 1.6 goals per game.
Our worst
team this week is IPSWICH as they have picked up
a total of twenty-one blank score sheets out of thirty-seven League and Cup games
played this season. They have now scored just three goals in their last seven games.
Our biggest
result in our 36th Season comes from MANCHESTER CITY as
they win 9-0 at home against league one BURTON
ALBION in the Carabao/League Cup semi-final
first leg tie in Week Twenty-Four.
KELLIE STRATTON is still
top this weekend with her eighth weekend of the season and now three in a row. Kellie
picked up a total of just six goals for the week from Celtic, Manchester City and West Brom. She has also jumped up the
Champions League to 15th place and has beaten another eight past
Champions including our 2005/06 Champion Keamus Setna with 309 goals. Bob Sawyer is still in second place as
he collected a total of seven goals with three coming from the weekend. His teams are once again. Celtic,
Luton and Manchester City.
At the other end at 133 we still have
John Filtness at the bottom for a
total of thirty consecutive weekends as he picks up a total of twelve goals for
the week. He has now had thirty-three weeks at the bottom but he is now eighteen
goals adrift this weekend. His teams are
Birmingham, Hamilton and Liverpool. John has made more progress in our Loser’s
League by catapulting up the table by beating our past fifteen lowest scores.
John is now above Malcolm,s Cormack score of 178 goals in our 2013/14 Season.
John has moved up to 14th place in our Losers League.
