Week Fifteen

In Week Fifteen of the competition due to the Internationals, there was no cash payout this weekend and so it has been Rolled over to next weekend with our third Rollover of the season worth £10. We had just twenty-nine players that managed to pick up some goals this weekend. FIONA CARTHY was one of them and she picked up the most number of goals with four. They came from Plymouth. Fiona’s other teams are Manchester United and Rangers.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Only six of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week but the race for the cash has remained the same this week. It was ZIGGY (John Wood) that picked up the most with three goals from Stenhousemuir. In the lead we still have BOB SOPER with a total of 48 goals. His teams are Arsenal, Fulham and Rangers. In second place with 47 goals we have COLIN WEBB. In third place we still have LYANNA GRIMWOOD with a total of 42 goals. In fourth place we have PETER PORTER and JAMIE WOOD. Both are on a total of 41 goals. In fifth place with 40 goals we have GEOFF CARTHY while in sixth place we still have LOUIE HARRINGTON with a total of 38 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had just seventeen of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play five of them failed to score any goals this weekend. So that means that our weekend average score was a flat zero once again. The Highest score over the weekend was four goals and they came from PLYMOUTH. They won 4-1 away to Accrington Stanley. Plymouth are now on a total of 37 goals.

Plymouth became our 80th voted English team when they first appeared in our 1990/91 Season and they finished on a total of 59 goals. Their highest score came in the 1995/96 Season with a total of 78 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 65 goals. Although this is their 15th Season with Golden Goals, they have now played in all of our last seven seasons. This season they have just one vote again and they have only picked up two blank score sheets in nineteen games.
