Week Three
Here we are with Week Three of the competition and this weekend we had our third winner of the season. Our winner was MIKE PEPPERRELL our 2002/03 Champions, who won on a score of just 8 goals, which is the lowest score to date. and has won himself £6 this weekend.
Mike started with us back in the 2000/01 season, where he finished in 89th place out of 102 on a total of 229 goals. He became our 20th Champion, in the 2002/03 season, winning on a total of 338 goals. Mike is in 5th place in our Champions League. Last season, he finished in 45th place out of 111 with a total of 252 goals and had one shared weekend win. This season he has picked up his personal best score and has had no blank score sheets to date. This is his highest position so far this season. His teams for this season are

A few more of us managed to pick up some goals as the race for the cash, start’s to get going. The £50 prize money will go to the first person to reach 100 goals from their three teams.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had the start of the Premier League fixtures this weekend, and we had a few high scores; overall, it was another good weekend. We had 10 teams with no game over the weekend, and another 12 of our teams that failed to score any goals. The average score fell from four last weekend to just 3 goals this weekend, which is good as a total of 7 players failed to pick up any goals. If your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this weekend.
The highest score, over the weekend was 5 goals and they came from the League Two where BRISTOL ROVERS won 5-3 at home to Newport County. With their biggest result to date, Rovers are now on a total of 7 goals. Rover’s became our 44th voted team back in the 1985/86 season, where they finished on a total of 65 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE lost their first game 2-0 away to Everton. IPSWICH TOWN won their first game 2-1 at home to Sunderland. BRENTFORD have beaten TOTTENHAM 3-0 at home. CHARLTON have won their second league game 2-1 away to WEST HAM UNITED. Charlton are on a total of 7 goals while West Ham are on 6 goals. In the Premier League the very first game has now been played between last season’s champions ARSENAL against COVENTRY CITY. The three points go to Arsenal after they won 3-0 at home to Coventry City.

Here we are with Week Two of the competition and this weekend we had a near full league fixture, which gave us our second winner of the season. Our winner was PETER PORTER who won on a score of 11 goals and has won himself £6 this weekend. Peter started with us back in the 1989/90 Season, where he finished in 40th place out of 44 on a total of 182 goals. He also picked up one shared weekend win. Last season, Peter finished in 41st place out of 111 with a total of 255 goals and had two weekend wins. This season he has picked up his personal best score and has no blank score sheets to date. HIBERNIAN won 1-0 at home to PARTICK THISTLE and are on a total of 4 goals. Partick, after a goal run of 6 league/cup games, picked up their first blank of the season. STENHOUSEMUIR drew 0-0 at home against Motherwell after the full 90 minutes but then won 1-0 in extra time. Stenhousemuir are on a total of 10 goals.
